Check Out The Mega Metagross Trailer For Pokemon Omega Ruby And Alpha Sapphire

The Pokemon Company has uploaded a brand new trailer revealing Mega Metagross for the first time. Last week, a new mega form was unveiled for Metagross in Japanese magazine CoroCoro, giving it four arms rather than two and a sharp metal point underneath the chin.

Although Metagross fans only see a small 10 to 20 second clip of his mega form, the trailer also reveals another feature for Pokemon Amie featuring Pikachu. The electric mouse was pictured in CoroCoro scans last week showing off various cosplay outfits, and it now seems as if fans will be able to dress the Pokemon mascot within Pokemon Amie. More information will be detailed for the new outfits come August. Here’s a snippet of the official press release:

“Mega Metagross, the Iron Leg Pokémon, is a massive Steel- and Psychic-type Pokémon standing at 8’2″ and weighing 2,078.7 lbs. Upon Mega Evolving, Metagross’s Ability changes to Tough Claws, which increases the power of attacks that make physical contact. Mega Metagross also has a greatly increased Speed stat, with additional increases in its Attack, Defense, Sp. Atk, and Sp. Def, making Mega Metagross primed for both offense and defense.

“Players will see Pikachu like they’ve never seen it before—Cosplay Pikachu—in Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire. Meet Pikachu Rock Star, Pikachu Belle, Pikachu Pop Star, Pikachu Ph.D., and Pikachu Libre! They seem to have a connection to a kind of Contest Hall. Players will also be able to interact with Cosplay Pikachu in Pokémon-Amie.”

      1. Wow…. butthurt fanboy is butthurt XD
You Nintendork fanboys really do ruin Nintendo consoles and games for everyone else…. I can see why you’re the target for most trolls as well.

          1. And you figured that Seems like I have a love crazed stalker or maybe just an idiot imagining what he dreams to see.

Who knows but either way, you’re still a bigger creep than typical pedophiles.

  1. Seems like, besides Phoebe and Norman, the gym leaders and elite four have new designs. Also, I was hoping for Iron Fist for Mega Metagross, but this is way better. It’s going to be one hell of an offensive threat, that’s for sure.

  3. “Metagross” is exactly the term they’d have to use for a proper mathematical assessment of how much this shit will sell.

    1. This game will definitely push 3DS pass 60 million mark and stupid 3rd parties will still ignore that system’s success and whine about Wii U somehow failing when its drawing closer to PS4’s global sales and Xbox is still stuck in its 5 million for the next 2 months.

      1. The Wii U being close to the PS4 isn’t “drawing closer”. That’s slowing down. PS4 and Xbox One released a full year later than the Wii U and the PS4 already surpassed it and the Xbox One is less than half of the Wii U’s sales. Let’s just face it Stranga, it’s not the same as it was back when the Wii launched and obliterated everything in sales. Gamers are different now. So long as PS4 and X1 keep getting Call of Duty and other games, they’re only going to keep moving units. Nintendo might eventually make the Wii U a success, but I don’t think it’s going to surpass the other consoles with the way things are looking now.

  4. Pikachu in cosplay absolutely adorable. And while it is only a minor part, I’m looking forward to the contests the most, especially in 3D! :D

      1. Don’t crush my dreams GrapeJ, just don’t. X(. I probably spent more time in contests than training, it BETTER be in 3D. >:(

        1. Oops, sorry! :X But.. ya know… seeing as how it’s running on the same engine as X and Y…- Nevermind, I’m not gonna say it. I’ll keep my mouth shut. XD

    1. Metagross isn’t as good as it used to be with how steel types were nerfed by losing the resistances to Ghost and Dark moves, giving Metagross a total of 4 weaknesses with Fire and Ground. If anything, the mega evolution will bump it back to where it originally was.

  5. HOLY SHIT YES! The elite four are back! The originals! I gotta say when I first played emerald I was shocked to find out Pheobe was a ghost type specialist xD
