Penguins Of Madagascar Announced For Wii U, Wii & Nintendo 3DS

Bandai Namco has revealed the Madagascar Penguins will be stirring up trouble on the Nintendo Wii, Wii U and 3DS this holiday season. Published by Little Orbit and in conjunction with DreamWorks Animation – who brought the successful How To Train Your Dragon 2 game earlier this year – comes a new adventure with the Penguins of Madagascar Videogame exclusively for Nintendo platforms.

In Penguins of Madagascar, players will follow in the footsteps of an elite penguin spy and are able to switch between the four penguins – Skipper, Kowalski, Private and Rico – at any given time. The game will coincide with the film’s release on December 5 and will launch November 28 for Europe and Australasia, with Bandai Namco handling the distribution. Check out the press release below for more information.

The four web-footed operatives, Skipper, Kowalski, Rico and Private, uncover a nefarious plot by the evil octopus, Dave (Dr.Octavious Brine) to destroy the penguin world as we know it. Players will travel to top-secret locales and embark on covert missions to thwart Dave’s evil plans.

Players will be able to play as the four penguins and instantly swap between them depending on the situation encountered.  For example, Rico, a demolitions expert, loves to blow things to smithereens while Skipper can dish out his stun slap to give enemy octopi high-powered smackdowns!  Players can solve puzzles by choosing the penguin whose natural skills are best suited for the task.

“Following our success with DreamWorks’ How to Train Your Dragon 2 this summer, we are once again thrilled to work with them to bring Penguins of Madagascar to gamers later this year,” said Matt Scott, president of Little Orbit. “Skipper, Kowalski, Rico and Private stole the show in previous Madagascar films with their humor and crazy antics.”

    1. Nintendo Sub-Lieutenant

      I thought the same when Just dance 2014 was announced for Wii. I guess SOMEBODY’s gotta use the 800 million Wii’s that exist in peoples homes.. -_-;;

    2. Biggest Nintendo fan since NES

Because most nintendo fans these days are Faggots staying with their Wii until the real fans put enough money into the Wii u to make it a success

  1. I LOVE Penguins Of Madagascar! I’m stoked they actually made a game for it! Bandai Namco, take my cash! :D This is awesome

  2. Nintendo is my Blood Reborn

No, Australasia is comprised of areas between Australia and Asia
New Zealand, Australia and a few other islands make up it.

      1. Nintendo is my Blood Reborn

No seriously, I get it if their was like a Madagascar 4 in the works or a TV series came out, but do people even care anymore?

          1. The Vita’s an AMAZING console. Remote Play on it was a great idea from Sony. I can’t count how many times I felt so much convenience when playing games like Killzone on my bed. But that’s really the only selling point it has now. That, a ton of downloadable games, and Freedom Wars. If Sony had realized sooner and understood the handheld market, advertised the console better, etc, Vita could actually compete against 3DS. Now? I doubt it stands the tiniest chance. Sony doesn’t understand what makes the handheld market tick. They made the perfect dish, but somehow forgot to add all the vital ingredients.

            1. Nintendo Commander Quadraxis

Although it is a great idea (copied once again), still irrelevant as it was supposed to be its own thing from the beginning…

  3. loved penguins of madagascar show on nickeloden. i how this game is decent and doesn’t have poor graphics like most wii-wii u ports. people should start accepting games and stop calling them sloveware. since am causal core i will never understand hardcore or core gamers brush off games like this? no wounder its mostly same crap everytime with most titles.

  4. The name & the characters we play as makes this sound like a great game for me to buy. The real question: is the gameplay great? A video of some gameplay in the article would have been nice. I HATE reading about Gameplay. I’d much rather SEE it.
