Nintendo Japan has uploaded a video showcasing the many beautiful themes that Japanese gamers can download from the official theme store on the Nintendo 3DS home menu. There’s plenty of glorious themes to take a look at and hopefully some will eventually make it to the west.

I agree, I loaded some of the sample screens and they’re just too much. Way too hard to see the game icons. The solid colors look great though. Black, red, orange, yellow green. I ended up switching to the yellow green. Adds a fun touch a of color without detracting from the icons on my all white 3DS.
I own the black and gold stars one.
I REALLY need the Azure Striker Gunvolt one in my life.
I also want an F-Zero one to be made ASAP.

I’m happy with being able to just have black. I would like a Metroid theme with the Phendrana Drifts or Torvis Bog music though.

really hope they make vocaloid themes. plus anime themes from different shows would be awesome too. also they need to do something like this for the wii u. how awesome would it be to have a miku themed wii u complete with sfx, music and maybe a miku ai XD.
also there was the mario theme from super mario sunshine. i reeeeaaalllllly hope they make a mario sunshine sequel on the wii u >.<

I’m sticking with the awesome-looking (if basic) black design until we get the option to turn off the music. Or until an awesome design with an equally awesome and, maybe more importantly, less tiring song comes along.
In reality, the music is the music is the most important part of this for me. The Luigi one and Isabelle ones need to be in my life though.
Also, they could really use some Pokémon ones.
Whoa, I actually think I wanna go for regular this time. I don’t really like how the games don’t have a higher resolution to fit the bigger screen on my XL. And those colored buttons along with the faceplates seal the deal for me. I can’t wait to get a New Nintendo 3DS! :D
