Nintendo UK has uploaded a new trailer for Sonic Boom which showcases both the Wii U and 3DS versions. So if you missed the US trailer released a couple of weeks ago, you can catch it here. Fans of the blue blur won’t want to miss his new HD adventure in Rise of Lyric and team up with Tails, Knuckles, Sticks and Amy to face-off with staple enemies in the Sonic franchise such as Metal Sonic and the robotic lizard.
But if you fancy tackling the smaller screen, Sonic Boom: Shattered Crystal for the 3DS promises all that fast-paced action when on the move. Make sure to check out the gameplay trailer above featuring some neat CG cutscenes. Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric for Wii U and Shattered Crystal for 3DS is available on November 21 in Europe, while North America receives both titles slightly earlier on November 11.

I’m more excited for the Wii U version honestly.
Both the games look really good to me. They both look polished and well presented. Sonic for Wii U almost looks like a 3d platformer, which in my opinion is a good thing! 3d platformers is one of my favorite genres, but they are just no longer developed anymore. The fact that this exists is amazing. I’m no huge Sonic fan, but this is a day one buy for me, if anything for nostalgic reasons. I love me some 3d platforming games! Now, Mario Galaxy 3 please. thx.
Oh, and another thing. If people don’t support Sonic Boom, it will be the last Sonic game Nintendo see’s for a very, very long time.
Don’t waste yoour money on the 3DS version, it really sucks.
I played it at SDCC this year and it literally gave me a headache, the controls are terrible and the stages are just plain and simple with a nice background.
