Nintendo has revealed that Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS is the best-selling hand-held title so far in 2014. According to the NPD Group, the fighting game sold more than 485,000 total units in October and became the 10th Nintendo 3DS title to sell at least one million units in the U.S. In addition, it has already sold 1.2 million combined physical and digital units in the U.S alone. Super Smash Bros. for 3DS was released on October 3, and it’s available in stores and on the Nintendo eShop.

So combined, world sales for smash should be reachin 3.5 million awesome.

It’s also the biggest letdown. At least for me. I can’t believe how fast I got sick of it. And the street pass feature is boring. It’s still a good game for what it’s worth. But I’ll never buy a handheld Smash Bros. again!
It’s hard to believe that ANYBODY bought this game. Because every time I take my 3DS with me to use street pass, I get NOBODY! At least, nobody on Smash Bros. But I get a small batch of people on the regular street pass (mostly the SAME PEOPLE). When I don’t go to McDonalds, I usually don’t get ANYONE.

As much as the mini games are fun.. it seems like I’m just playing brawl on a handheld without any story mode… characters were wayyy to easy to unlock and the game itself just felt.. short. Then again it’s a fighting game that is indeed enjoyable..

Good to see the 3ds version doing great. I’m getting my son the 3ds one for Christmas while I’m getting the wii u version. Gonna be great. Although it sucks that I have to wait till Christmas to play it.
