Japanese publisher Kadokawa Shoten has uploaded the very first trailer for Rodea: The Sky Soldier. Currently only set to be released in Japan for Wii U and Nintendo 3DS, the action flight title has been in development for a number of years and was originally planned for the Nintendo Wii and 3DS handheld. Earlier this month, Rodea: The Sky Soldier was announced for Wii U instead, and today we have a first look at what the game entails in the trailer embedded above. Due to release in Spring 2015 for Japanese consumers, it’s not yet known whether the game will be localised for western audiences.

Between this, Xenoblade X, and so many indie games with a distinctly JRPG-ish feel to them, the Wii U is really going to be seeing a diverse lineup of games!
