The annual the Game Awards is unsurprisingly set to return this December according to the host of the event, Geoff Keighley. This year’s event will take place on 10th December and will be live from the Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles. Expect some grand reveals, plenty of ads, and hopefully some nice surprises. More details and ticket information will be disclosed this autumn.
I think gtA6 will come out too late to be considered for many awards. It launches only a couple of weeks before the game awards, so the team that decides what games wins might not have time to nominate it. I truly wonder what will win game of the year. Splatoon raiders and pokopia feel like they have a decent shot here, maybe crimson desert and wolverine.
If you think Splatoon Raiders or Pokopia have any chance you have not paid attention to any previous winners. It will be whatever Geoff Keighley thinks is cool and will be either a souls like or some interactive movie.

I think maybe a new mainline Mario game could be announced at the show. Maybe Sony and Microsoft might announce one of their new best IPs games.
I don’t think Nintendo has announced that much at any place other than their own press conferences. I think the biggest thing they have revealed was joker for smash at the game awards. But who knows, they could reveal the next mainline Mario game. But I almost guarantee that we will see the next mainline sonic there.
