    1. Why? All those games are great. The only strange thing is that TP is before SS, but I never played the first one so I’m not calling that bs.

  1. 1. Mario Galaxy
    2. Mario Galaxy 2
    3. Zelda Twilight Princess
    4. World Of Goo
    5. Zelda Skyward Sword
    6. Smash Bros Brawl
    7. Metroid Prime Trilogy
    8. Xenoblade Chronicles
    9. Resident Evil 4
    10. Metroid Prime 3

    There fixed the list

  2. I disagree with this list a lot, but the most obvious difference between this and the list I would make is the lack of No more heroes.

  3. Hm I have all of these games, silent hill relies more on atmosphere and intense survival then jumps cares,an unusual horror game but it dared to be unique in some elements, some chases are a bit unfair when you don’t know where to go though, not a big problem though.

    1. To be honest, MH3 didn’t interest me that much. It may be that I didn’t have anyone to play with, because I played the 3DS version yesterday with a friend and that actually was pretty fun because I had someone to talk to, but the Wii version.. I played through the tutorial and pretty much lost interest.. It’s just so slow and clunky (I get that’s the idea, but it gets boring quickly when playing alone). So I personally don’t have great memories to the Wii version, I hope the 3DS/Wii U one makes up for it :P

      1. MH is an acquired taste. What appears to be clunky controls at first, later turns into the most solid controls you could ever hope for. The Wii U version is identical except it’s in HD, with new Bosses to fight. Playing with friends is fun, but playing alone is fun as well. Taking down a Rathalos for the first time by yourself is quite the adrenaline rush honestly..

    2. Skyward Sword was an amazing game. It’s a piece of artwork in my opinion, and deserves a top ten spot more that most. And it had the best dungeon in Zelda history.

      1. Ridley, the Angel of Death

Don’t bother. He’s probably part of the same people that think there is nothing redeeming about Metroid: Other M too.

    3. Skyward was an excellent game! I have played Even singel zelda since 1984 and i thought it was fucking brilliant. Sure there were annoying bits, like i didnt need to be tole i fond an amber relic for the 1000th time. Your opinion mate

  4. Played all those games except for Silent Hill – all phenomenal games. Not sure why Metroid Prime Trilogy isn’t there instead of Prime 3, but the rest seems pretty right, though I’d jiggle the order around a bit.

No doubt for me on the best though. Galaxy 2 wasn’t just the best game on the Wii, it was the best game of the generation. Whenever I play a game after Galaxy 2 or 1 it makes me realise how sloppily made every other game is.

  5. Some great games which deserve to be there. But Twilight Princess…Really? It always amazes me how TP gets so much praise from some quarters.

    1. I always thought the opposite. It always amazes me that people actually hate TP. It’s my second favorite Zelda game of all time. A master piece in its own right.

    2. IT was excellent mate. Maybe a rehash of OT bit what a story. And Minda, great side kick. Navi, midna and fi. Her thats the order id out them

  6. The wii had 2 masterpieces, mario galaxy 2 and xenoblade.

The 2 best games of last gen, for me anyway. Then the wii is like the worst console ever and nintendo’s downfall. So far wii had better games than wii u though, the only thing better so far is smash and mario kart, the ones on wii sucked. Hopefully zelda isn’t a fail like ss. That game was fucking awful, terrible. Zelda really used to be something really special…… thanks shitward sword. Zelda was a game all my friends played, we all talked about it when we were hanging out, it always came up and i was like the master at it that helped them all lmao. I actually made a few best friends out of zelda lmao literally. It just came up and i was like i fucking love that game, and then we became really good friends out of it. Now nobody cares and plays shitty games……. blah. Lame. Well it doesn’t help that nintendo fucking sucks for the most part, if they weren’t so lame maybe more people would still play nintendo. Though i don’t know if the new zelda will be good, nintendo, that’s all that needs to be said. Their dumb.

Anyway zelda was something special, SS ruined it because it sucked and it was so bad i can’t see any zelda being good anymore. Not many games feel special anymore, even if the games are good. I feel most of that died in the 6th generation. Even this gen looks to be worse than last.

    1. Interesting. I for one loved SS, guess you could say i have no taste blblblbla… Bit i loved it. Obviously didnt bring back the feeling i had playing link to the past In 92 or how i was brown away by OT In 97, but no games ever do anymore. Same with movies. You have Steen it all. Last time i was brown away by visuals/story was the matrix In 98

      1. I guess you expect as a fan to get a harder game each time or a more difficult challenge .. SS was the opposite,it was so damn easy and all anyone says when they talk about its good points is the storyline… But games are defined by their gameplay by the masses and companies. So a few fan boys/girls that love it and don’t understand why. The only way I see Nintendo making SS so easy was to introduce new fans with a cinematic game, it really wasn’t built for older Zelda gamers!

  7. silent hill on wii is the biggest crap. every other silent hill is beter.
when you realize that only monsters are in the blue levels and you only can die there…
every thril and suspense is gone in the real world of silent hill

  8. My top 10 Wii games are….

    10. Okami Wii Edition
    9. Resident Evil 4 Wii Edition
    8. Donkey Kong Country Returns
    7. Super Smash Bros Brawl
    6. Metroid Prime 3
    5. Skyward Sword
    4. Super Mario Galaxy 2
    3. Twilight Princess
    2. Xenoblade Chronicles
    1. Super Mario Galaxy

  9. Link is the dude, Samus is the chick

SS is favorite and least favorite Zelda game at the same time. It did things with motions controls no other game has ever done. It was different and many people hate it for that even though many people complain about lack of innovation in games. I can understand how a Zelda purest fan could hate it or someone who doesn’t like motions controls. Could you sit down and relax and play it, no. I was standing up for every boss battle. It’s a different experience than like in other game in my opinion. But yes it’s linear and easy and as a Zelda fan that’s disappointing. But if you play it as a game on it’s own and forget all other Zelda games, it’s great. Same with Metroid other M. I’m not saying either are the best, but they are very fun and very innovative games that get a lot of hate for not be (insert previous game(s) in franchise).

Project M > Brawl, does that count? I do miss the boss battles from Brawl. It was the only thing they got right.

    1. The motions where ok that was probably the most difficult part of the game to make sure you made the right slash directions unless your just a spammer and that’s why they didn’t understand why they couldn’t beat some guys lol but yeah it’s linearness and lack of decent puzzles and the game was fairly short or there wasn’t anything that made you want to stay in one area and mess around. It just lacked too any qualities to be a great Zelda game.

  10. Put Okami in around 5 or 6 and to clarify, TP was originally for GC, they just ported it to wii and ruined it by mirroring everything so I’d switch its place with SS

  11. I have a feeling that in a couple of years all the hipsters are going to start saying that Skyward Sword is the best Zelda game because of so and so reasons -_-

Ill still hold my ground and say that its one of the worst zelda experiences ive ever had next to the DS zelda’s.

OT: Great list, although I would move Twilight lower in the list and switch out Metroid 3 for the trilogy. Also, were the hell is Zack and Wiki?

  12. This is actually a really solid list, even if it’s a bit out of order and Silent Hill shouldn’t be on there. I mostly agree.

  13. Ridley, the Angel of Death

I love Mario & Zelda but Xenoblade fucking curbstomps both of those games. ESPECIALLY Twilight Princess as Xenoblade did everything right that Twilight Princess utterly failed at. Huge fields with plenty of things to do? CHECK!!!

    10. Dead Space Extraction (Too bad EA has buried that franchise like Capcom has done with Resident Evil.)
    9. Donkey Kong Country Returns
    8. Metroid: Other M (The gameplay kicks ass, so I could give two shits about anything else!)
    7. Red Steel 2 (Too bad Ubishit has well… gone to shit!)
    6. Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition
    5. Endless Ocean: Blue World
    4. Metroid Prime Trilogy
    3. The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword
    2. The Last Story
    1. Xenoblade Chronicles (Best game I’ve ever played since The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask, The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker, & Kingdom Hearts 2!)

    1. I wasn’t too impressed with Wind Waker to be honest. But I respect your opinion. I still have to get Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword. Don’t get me wrong. I don’t hate Wind Waker. I just don’t think it’s all that great.

  14. I looked at the list then I released the wii did have some good games. To be honest who going to play 50+ games on one system. If you add some games like the last story, pandoras tower, mario party 8, epic mickey, mario shake land, dragon ball z, Naruto, no more heroes. One can see there were some good games despite lot of no so good games (to be polite).
