  1. Why is it in German though? Also, on number 17 are 20€ PSN cards, for whatever reason… But thing is, the currency of the UK isn’t €. Are you sure this chart is for the UK?

    1. Without casuals the video game industry wouldn’t exist.

It can’t survive with just hardcore gamers. There are not enough of us.

  2. FIFA in the UK, madden in the US (though Madden doesn’t top charts like before cuz it sucks now) people buying the same damn game every year with minor updates . Add call of duty in there as well and ask, what the hell is wrong with people ? I’ll get on subject though and say this chart looks a little better than UKs though….

      1. well to be fair, pokemon does feature new mechanics, a new story, and of course new pokemon

FIFA is, apart from cosmetic changes, mostly the same game every year

        1. But those new battle mechanics, new Pokemon, and even new story don’t come until 3 years or so every new gen. Its cycle is: new games -> remake of old games -> same, but newer, game. And the fact that they release two of the same games simultaneously is even worse.

  3. This is the FIFA , Madden, Cycle …. EA : this years Madden, FIFA is the best ever! New improved graphics , physics, realistic gameplay. Consumer buys: this f’ing game is the same as last years, screw EA I’m never buying again! EA: But this year is the best Madden , FIFA ever ! With new and improved(everything!) Consumer : I can’t wait for this years Madden and FIFA !

  4. Nintendo Elite Commander Quadraxis

Germania must be destroyed just like the US, UK and Sweden…

Pathetic Xbot and Electron filth territory…

  5. Even if it seems the list is game, it ‘s the same as UK and I did not read the comments UK received on weekly basis(i.e. we hate UK, UK should be destroy, UK player dont have taste, etc…)

Moving on, I am not reallly surprised about it. In Europe we love our football, so it should not be a surprise that FIFA got the top spot (like it or not). I would not surprise to see FIFA on the top most selling games for France, Belgium, Holland, Italy, Spain and all scandinavia countries. The same apply for Madden, the US like this sport they call football or they also love their basketball.

Anyway all that to say FIFA is logic place even if you hate the game. I won’t go in details as to why people buy it every year but it make sense when you know football.
