Not sure what the firmware is. I had to update my New Nintendo 3DS when I got it a week ago.
Do you think it will come out the box with 9.2 for US/Europe for 9.0?

Not that I’ve ever used flash cards for roms myself but to answer your question, many report the New 3DS either comes with 9.0 or 9.2.
Of course this isn’t guaranteed these editions will be on that same firmware next month. If they’ve been in production since the others have, the chances are likely they will also have the same firmware.

Same here! I had to return a couple amiibos and my Smash Bros 3DS XL I picked up a couple weeks ago just to be able to afford it. Went to gamestop, they were all sold out and was totally bummed out, came home and not five minutes later they had them in stock!!
I was going to go to Gamestop to trade in my 3DS XL, but being a collector, I was on the edge. Then I saw this and bought it right away! Sucks that you had to sell some amiibo man. Hope it was the popular ones cause you can always pick those up later.
Sadly the only two that I hadn’t opened yet were Captain Falcon and Yoshi. I’m not worried at all about Yoshi and I’ve seen Captain Falcon in the wild so he doesn’t seem too hard to find. Now if only I could find a Pit…

I’m not sure if I’m even going to buy a New 3DS? There’s not enough differences or improvements to justify buying one.

I would not worry about supply at all with this model. People thought the first Zelda 3DS XL would be hard to find but there was never an issue with supply. Only if you need it day 1 will it be an issue.

I read somewhere that you could still preorder one at GameStop, but it has to be paid in full. Im not sure if this is still the case, I missed the chance to run by the location close to me.
Why is all pre-orders selling out so damn fast for everything lately? First the amiibos, then the Majora’s Mask Limited Edition, now this? My guess is probably scalpers. There needs to be some sort of new law that prevents scalpers from buying multiple copies of things and making a fortune on eBay. It really should be illegal.
As much as it sucks, it would be up the retailer to limit how many copies someone can buy – and even then, it would also temporarily stop them as they’d probably just create a new account to purchase another copy.
Still no news on UK pre orders yet? Hope I can get one!
