We know that Japan loves both the Pokemon franchise and the Yokai Watch 2 series. But just how much? Well, apparently they accounted for nearly half of Japan’ holiday sales. Media Create reports that Yokai Watch 2 has sold 2.447 million across all versions. The sales tracker also says that Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire sold 2.591 million copies across two versions. However that’s only if the double pack was counted as two copies per one unit. Both Yokai Watch and Pokemon accounted for over 45 percent of total video game sales in the holiday season. That’s a great performance from Level 5 and the Pokemon Company.
