Club Nintendo January Rewards Now Available For US Members

Nintendo of America has rolled out a fresh batch of monthly downloadable games for Club Nintendo’s US members. But unlike the previous downloadable rewards, you’ll be able to purchase any of the games displayed below up until June 30, 2015, rather than in a one-month period. US members can choose from a selection of eight Wii U, Wii and 3DS virtual console games, including Excitebike and Donkey Kong.

Today, the company announced it was closing down its Club Nintendo rewards programme at the end of June, in order to replace it with another loyalty programme to be announced later in the year. Registration for both new members and any new software will end on March 31, but members can still spend their accrued coins on downloadable games and other physical items up until June 30. A list of all eight new virtual console titles added today can be found below.

  • Super Mario Bros. 2 – Wii U, 200 coins
  • Excitebike – Wii U, 200 coins
  • Super Metroid – Wii, 250 coins
  • Super Punch-Out!! – Wii, 250 coins
  • Super Mario Land – 3DS, 150 coins
  • Donkey Kong – 3DS, 150 coins
  • Wario Land 2 – 3DS, 200 coins
  • The Legend of Zelda – 3DS, 200 coins

    1. GUYS LOOK AT THIS INFO I JUST DISCOVERED!!

      “2015 Elite Status

In order to reach Elite Status, you must earn 300 Coins (for Gold Status) or 600 Coins (for Platinum Status) between July 1, 2014 and March 31, 2015. Members who reach Elite Status will be able to ***choose a downloadable game*** from a wide selection of 3DS and Wii U titles. Your free Elite Status gift will be available between April 1 and April 30, 2015. A list of the Elite Status 2015 gifts will be posted… once announced.”

Looks like the site will end the elite rewards with only DL GAMES and no physical rewards again.

      1. I can see why it’s coming to an end. Nobody in their right mind wants digital games for rewards. And Club Nintendo has been stuck in a rut for the last couple years.

          1. Cheap digital games that most Nintendo fans probably have already bought, as a reward for spending hundreds if not thousands of dollars in order to reach platinum status?
Yes, most people DON’T want that. Dumbass.

  1. Good bye, Club Nintendo¡ Do not let the door hit you in the way out ¡ And let’s hope whatever come next has a more worthwhile rewards; not a hard task well knowing you suck in the last few years.

    1. Um, ‘cuse me, Mr. Quadraxis, sir…hate to bother you…
But every time I see that you replied, I Always imagine your voice being very, Very epic in every way. Hope I’m not wrong, sir~

    1. Same here. 2000 coins, a list of games I’ve purchased at least twice each, and physical rewards sold out. Grrrr

  2. So will they be putting new games up frequently anyways, or is this the last of it? I’m trying to decide whether or not to pitch in coins toward some of these games. Also, my Club NIntendo account isn’t working…

According to this announcement page, they’re adding more in feb:

“All Coins will be deleted when Club Nintendo accounts are closed on July 1, 2015. As a result, to give our members the best opportunity to use their Coins, we will add dozens of downloadable games and a limited quantity of exclusive reward items to the rewards catalog in February. In addition, as a small token of appreciation for your loyalty, all Club Nintendo members will receive a free download code for Flipnote Studio 3D in February 2015.”

    It doesn’t sound so bad.

        1. Nintendo Elite Commander Quadraxis

Well they are going to create something similar and I hope it includes Scandinavia this time…

            1. Nintendo Elite Commander Quadraxis

They don’t want a 32 feet something giant dark cyborg going rogue on this puny world…

              1. I was gonna say, I remember you being larger than 32 feet last time we met.

Sorry man, I had to break you- game wouldn’t let me continue until I did…

  4. Why can’t CN NA give new physical rewards? Japan and EU are giving away nice stuff and NA puts out old VC titles…

I hope February does bring new physical rewards and some other VC games… I’ll keep my 1400 for now.

  5. So should I redeem any more codes I get or wait and use them for the next CN? (Assuming that they’ll work with it. )

    1. I would wait to spend your coins due to the fact that in Febuary they will be adding many more. Its The Final Countdown!

  6. More of the same shit for 3 years. No wonder Club is being scrapped now and I’m kinda glad. They better make their Gold/Platinum rewards so awesome and worthy as a farewell to this POS program for the new.

  7. Don’t be dumb and spend your coins on downloadable games now. The games are always going to be there on the shop for less than $10, anytime you want them. Save your coins for the physical rewards they’re putting up on Club Nintendo before it closes.
