As you may already know, the original Final Fantasy has been remastered for the Nintendo 3DS eShop in Japan. 1. I’m still waiting on that, it’s the best game in the series and it’s been a long time since those rumors about remakes for 3DS of V and VI were mentioned

  1. Yah, looks like the PSP port. Better than the GBA and Wonderswan port at least. FF1 is old as shit but still kinda fun.

    1. Square Enix: Sorry, but that’s not in our best financial interests right now. Me: What do you mean? Are you sure? I’ll buy it! Square Enix: DOES THIS LOOK UNSURE TO YOU!!!

  2. Nintendo needs to forge strong relationships with all the japanese devs and become the go-to console for the best japanese gaming has to offer. That’s my dream. They could really carve out a niche for themselves. I really wish that FF game for the Wii had been better. It looked like it had a lot of potential while it was in development.

  3. This game has already been released a million times, and I have the PSP version, and this doesn’t look too different from it. I even have the GBA version, although it’s inconvenient to play it now. I enjoyed before my DS Lite broke on me.

I do like this game, but I’d rather see Final Fantasy Dimensions for 3DS. I hate mobile gaming, and yet that is the only platform that it has ever been released on. I tried it, and I couldn’t even finish it, because I hated the digital d pad. I probably lost interest about 5 hours in. I would also like DQ for 3DS, then II and III. And of course, the localization of DQ VII.

Even porting the android versions of FF V and VI for 3DS would be more interesting in my opinion, as they look more significantly different than the PS1 versions that I have downloaded on my PSP. FF V and VI for android look more like FF Dimensions in their art styles, from what I’ve seen from the screenshots.

  4. How many times have they re-released this old chestnut? It’s a fine game, but no one would give a crap if not for the franchise masterpieces that would come after.

  6. So Square Enix has completed their experiments on what works and what should work with FF fans world wide… I say they should continue remaking all the best FFs after the FFViii remake…
(May take a long while though)

Who in their right mind would pass up a scene of traveling to the Castle in the Sky and fighting the 6 head dragon- Tiamat??(IN HD!!)
