Never saw Captain in any stores, might have seen Little Mac. Got them both from ToysRUs.com. My friend said he saw a little mac in store, so I would say he is less rare.
Most people have been saying Little Mac is ultra rare status, even up there with the Holy Trinity. Your friend was just super lucky.

I know he is, I just didn’t feel like spending the extra money since I don’t really care about him as much as some others, and I’m not going to collect them all so I figured might as well let someone who really wants him get him. If I see him in store tomorrow though I’ll bite lol. If it was Dark Pit I would possibly have done it. I like regular Pit but I always used his black outfit in brawl, and don’t use him at all so far in the new one (or Dark Pit). I’m really waiting for Ness & Pac Man, and eventually Duck Hunt, I’m sure there’s a few others I may get but those 3 are the ones I really want. Been checking almost everyday to see if they are available for pre-order, apparently Game in the UK already put them up and they sold out of most of wave 4, but no pre-orders yet in the US.
Was your response to me by the way? I thought it was, but I got no notification in my message box, and it’s been a few days I think since I have gotten any from people so I’m wondering if there’s something I need to update on my profile or anything. You know anything about this issue?

At least I was lucky & got a Gamecube adapter from Gamestop when they were back in stock for 15 minutes (a few weeks ago).

So uhh… as soon as I saw this, I go to GameStop’s site, press “add to cart” on Pit, which, as I’m writing this, it still says. Enter in all shipping and debt card information, press “proceed to checkout” aaaaaannnd…….it just takes me to a page saying my shopping cart is empty. SERIOUSLY. WHAT THE FUCK. IT CLEARLY SAYS “add to cart” and all I get is a message telling me my fucking cart is empty as soon as I put all my info in to pay for it. What fucking bullshit is this?
That happened to me and my stepmom too. Are you on a phone, because that’s when it wouldn’t work for me. Use a desktop.
I was on my desktop PC the whole time. GameStop is just fucking dumb, probably, and doesn’t instantly up date the status of the item like they honestly should. NOW it say’s it’s “unavailable”. Not earlier when they gave me a false sense of hope to get one, and even let me get as far as entering my debt card info, no, NOW like 10 to 15 minutes after it had still said it was available and wouldn’t let me get it. I really hate GameStop sometimes. Kinda hate Nintendo more at this point for making like fucking 5 of the damn things knowing hundreds upon hundreds of people want one.
Man, that really sucks, but let’s hope for a third wave of Pits and all other amiibos for that matter. :)

Just seeing this Pit Amiibo makes me think about a potential Kid Icarus Wii U game. I would love a Uprising sequel in HD visuals running at 60fps. Hopefully it’s coming in 2016 for the Wii U or in the future on the Wii U’s successor
