Here’s A Look At Some Of The Gorgeous Boards In Mario Party 10

Nintendo of America has uploaded some brand new images of some of the weird and wacky boards that will feature in Mario Party 10 when it’s released this March. The underwater board and also the haunted wood look particularly nice. Be sure to check out all the images in the gallery provided below.

  1. I’m a big fan of Nintendo, but I feel that the Mario Party franchise is already dead. The last decent Mario Party game was Mario Party 8.

      1. All they need to do is add online multiplayer.
I don’t have the time to invite friends/go over to my friends’ places every single time I feel like playing a game, and I sure as hell won’t spend 60€ on a game that doesn’t feature online multiplayer but is 0 fun when being played alone.
This is a game that’s fundamentally built to be played with others and it’s absolutely beyond me why Nintendo refuses to add a feature that would be a serious selling point for many, many people.

        1. This is absolutely a game that should have online multiplayer. Nintendo would be foolish not to include it in a game like this.

        2. Nintendo commander said something that was really smart (for the first time). He said this game wouldnt be good for online. Why? Because what if someone disconnects ,or rage quits in the middle of the match, or is idle for quite sometime. It will make it not fun.

          1. That can be said about any game that has online multiplayer though, not just Mario Party. But in this game’s case, there’s actually solutions to situations like that. For instance, people who leave the game, may it be ragequit or disconnection, can be disqualified and replaced by a com. And if people have the option to join already running games, that com can be replaced by that newly joined player again. And people who quit the game too often could get a penalty, a ban, for a couple of days, just to give those who aren’t sore losers a good online experience; your number of disconnects and deliberate quits is tracked in SSB 4 too, so why not do that in Mario Party as well?
And about players going idle, well, just give people a certain amount of time to finish their turn; not reacting in that given time will result in losing one’s turn and not being allowed to participate in the next mini-game or something, I don’t know.
Those are just some simple ideas I came up with off the top of my head, they could be worked on of course, but you should see my point.
And regardless of the fact that those aren’t problems that can’t be solved, I’d just rather have really fun online multiplayer than can get shitty at times, than no online multiplayer at all.

          2. It should still be an option with these types of games. I’m willing to put up with a few people with poor internet to be able to enjoy these types of games online instead. The same thing could be said about Mario Kart 8 or Smash Bros., yet everyone welcomes and loves online in those games.. So why try to downplay online multiplayer in other games?

Not everyone has people they can just call over or for that matter are willing to drive out to see them every time they want to play a game with someone. I don’t understand the need to be so selfish about an optional feature that no one is forced to use.

These arguments against online multiplayer are so old these days. Every multiplayer game in this day and age should include online multiplayer also. This needs to become the norm, as I’ve said there are just as many people who like to play with people online as there are that don’t. So why not cater to both so everyone can be happy, instead of always catering to only one group or assuming everyone can even use local multiplayer.

There are so many situations where local multiplayer could never even be used, so i just don’t see the point in forcing it upon people. What if you just don’t like people either or for some reason can’t be around others or are stuck in hospital? There are so many ways online multiplayer can help so many people enjoy a game more, that they might not have otherwise had the opportunity to play with people in person.

  3. I don’t care about there being a mode with the cart, but no mode without it = no purchase by me. Please fix it, Nintendo.

          1. I find the biggest reason there’s no GC Virtual Console is because in the next generation of console they’ll probably remaster sunshine and others and sell for a full 60 bucks. It makes more money than Virtual Console

  4. See, these boards are what I thought of when Sakurai announced the board game mode in Smash. And this is what they should have looked like in Smash. Colorful, with a purpose behind them. Instead we got a jumbled mess… too bad, wasted potential.

Anyways, this game looks fun. Will buy it only if it has online multiplayer. Otherwise I wont have anyone to play the game with.

  6. Still not buying this game. No online = no buy. My motto for MP but the car thing is fucking stupid. Why can’t MP now be like MP2 then? That game was complete and fun in every way.
