Original Zelda Majora’s Mask Development Team Was Made Up Of 40 People

The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask is one of the most beloved games in the Legend of Zelda series, but did you know that the original development team only consisted of 40 people? Well, that what’s Legend of Zelda producer Eiji Aonuma told Kotaku. Not a bad team size for what is an exceptional game.

Thanks, MasterPikachu6

            1. Not really. From what this Nintendo Power says, it was an expansion with new dungeons you can explore after beating the game & new areas to be found. It sounds like it was like DLC to me.

              1. Nintendo Lieutenant Cereza

I thought so myself Commander. But paper documents stored in the vault describe much more than a master quest. New characters, char-animations, cut-scenes, and entirely different areas made accessible from a disk drive. Though I agree, much of the content was most certainly carried over to future renditions of Zelda. I believe Majora’s Mask is a completely original game, but I think most of the extra content for OOT was used in MM instead.

  1. Fun fact, did you know MM was made as a challenge to Aonuma if you could make a Zelda game within a year, its why lots of character were reused in order to save time..

  2. Devs doing wall and grass textures have no emotional attachment to what that work on nore so they care about those games
