Tantalus Wii U Port Set To Be Announced Soon And Is Studio’s Biggest Project Yet

Good news for Wii U owners as Tantalus have announced that they will be revealing their Wii U port very soon. Tantalus is the development team that has been tasked with bringing AAA titles to the Wii U. They’ve already brought across Mass Effect 3 and Deus Ex: Human Revolution, so it will be interesting to see what their latest project is. Feel free to speculated as to what you think it is.

We’re doing that. It hasn’t been announced, but it will be soon. And can I just further add to the mystique and say that it’s big. It’s the biggest thing we’ve ever done. And it’ll come out this year, and I hope it won’t disappoint.

Thanks, Don Billbo

    1. Was there a software trade going on perhaps? The news that a Wii U game is being ported to PS4/PC/Xbox seems to coincide here. I am I suggesting something completely unprecedented?

They are allowing it, that’s good enough, without High Command’s permission, nothing would be on the eShop or on our console…

            1. Your entire comment history on this website is pathetic. You’re a pathetic person. Don’t tell anyone to kneel, Nintendo is a COMPANY. They want MONEY they talk in $£¥¢€ and its all they really want at the end of the day. You’re portraying a negative stereotype because you don’t know any better. Let me help you. Turn off your computer, go outside. There’s this world you wouldn’t believe actually exist.
Not only that, but most people in the world don’t at video games or don’t care about video games. So picture your self telling the common person your crap. You would come off autistic.

In other words, you hate autistic humans, nice to know that you are such a lovely ape…

Now, go back to your pathetic cattle species…

                1. How dare you insult me. Comparing me to an animal. Allah has a special place for when you die. You shall suffer as much as Satan for you do no submit to Allah. You are pathetic. Treating video games as a religion instead of reading the Qur’an and listening to Allah! You are the loser and paradise will not be your reward!

                  1. Nintendo Elite Commander Quadraxis

My God is emperor Ing, not some pathetic ape imaginary god like yours…

And you are all primitive animals, caring only about breeding and honour like the cattle you all are, now go back to your mud…

  2. I’m mostly seeing people speculating third-party games here. I thought Nintendrones bought the Wii U to play exclusives & not third-party games (at least from what I’ve been reading over the years).

    1. ‘Bought to play exclusives’ is not mutually exclusive of ‘would love to play major third-party games properly ported to the platform’.

    2. Not every nintendo fan it´s a Nintendrone! I would love see GTA V on Wii U It´s a really awesome game and one of my favorite from the last and current gen!!!

    3. …Tantalus port AAA titles from non-Nintendo platforms. Why would anyone speculate about first party Nintendo games given this news? Are you thick? Do you not understand basic logic?

  3. I still wish Ni No Kuni would be ported to Wii U with plenty of extras. The original was on DS and the gamepad is perfect for the spellbook.

    1. I don’t really think it’ll be GTA V (but I really hope it still could be) because Tantalus said a while back that the port is not from a mature title. The only AAA games that are rated Teen I can think of are the ones in the Final Fantasy series, Dark Souls 2 and Tekken 7 and seeing as how Nintendo and Namco Bandai have been working together a lot as of late, I really think that Dark Souls 2 could end up being ported to the Wii U with Tekken 7 being a huge possibility if isn’t that game

      1. Nintendo Elite Commander Quadraxis

If you are referring to Electron, Ubisian and Activisionist milked garbage then yes…

        Thankfully, I don’t buy any of that…

    1. Naw…….I doubt it’ll be a Call Of Duty title because Tantalus has already said that the title is not a mature one. It could be however a Teen rated title like a Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn, Dark Souls 2 or Tekken 7 but hey those are just my thoughts

      1. I highly doubt it will be a MMO like FF XIV. That’s way too large of a project for them to take on and Square Enix does everything in-house for simultaneous worldwide cross-platform releases.

        1. ” That’s way too large of a project for them to take on ”

Well didn’t Tantalus say it was the biggest project that they’ve ever worked on so there you go,

” and Square Enix does everything in-house for simultaneous worldwide cross-platform releases. ”

Umm……last I checked the Wii U version of Deus Ex Human Revolution was published by Square Enix and developed and ported by……………get ready for it…………Tantalus…smh.

          1. Exactly, published by SE, it was Originally developed by… Get ready for this… EIDOS. Although it belongs to them, SE doesn’t handle the development for Deus Ex.

          2. I was talking about Final Fantasy XIV. They do everything in-house for that because it’s such a large-scale MMO that they do simultaneous worldwide releases, patches, translations, and updates for across three different platforms.

    1. There’s many games not coming to Wii U but yeah i hope it is too. But there’s a possibility it’s a original game too

  4. Omg if it’s MGSV this day will be amazing or kingdom hearts 3 I’m good with both, ummm final fantasy maybe don’t really like what the series went to unless it’s the new Final fantasy that isn’t out yet I believe.

  5. Something tells me its going to be Far Cry 4… I don’t know what it is, but it feels like it’ll be that.

I know I know, not a mature game but still.

        1. They imply it’s “big” meaning it has to be some large scale release like GTA5 or Witcher 3. Someone said earlier in the comments that it isn’t M rated (i know nothing about thatl

  6. “that it’s big”-oh God,i hope that the game they are talking about is not Evolve, because it sucks and it is the most overrated game of 2015

  7. I almost want to argue against MGS5, but then I remembered that for some stupid ass reason, they decided to not make MGS5 completely new-gen. Tsk fucking tsk.

  8. I honestly think 3rd parties are missing out on easy money with the Wii U. Games like AC 3, AC 4, Arkham City, and Mass Effect 3 all sold between 200 – 350k copies on the Wii U. And that was back when the Wii U had a user base of 3 or 4 million. Games like BloodBourne, Arkham Knight, The Witcher 3, or No Mans Sky would easily sell between 800k – 1million copies on the Wii U. That would be a nice chunk of money for just a simple port..

Hopefully this new port isn’t one the recent 3rd party disasters.. Example: The Order, AC Unity, Evolve, etc. etc.

    1. Yeah I agree. Batman Arkham Knight and No Man’s Sky would definitely sell well on the Wii U, especially if a dedicated developer like Tantalus was doing the porting. But I also think that GTA V, Dark Souls 2, Mortal Kombat X, the Final Fantasy series, the Kingdom Hearts series and Star Wars Battlefront would do very well on the Wii U if those games are properly developed and given equal treatment as the other platform versions

  9. Lol, The newest Dragon Age. They said same people that ported Mass Effect 3.

    Bioware, lol
    I might be wrong, just a prediction…

  10. I really hope it’s not COD (or any shooter) but i’m starting to feel that it could either a shooter or an open world game. Hopefully the later, come give us MGSV or No Man’s Sky. KH3 and the TellTales games are good too just please not a series we seen enough on Nintendo platforms
