The Nintendo Creators Program has added support for seven more countries. Users in Canada, Brazil, Mexico, Panama, Chile, Peru and Argentina can now benefit from the service, which gives them part of the advertising proceeds received for their Nintendo-related videos on YouTube. The Nintendo Creators Program was launched earlier this year. Nintendo recently confirmed plans to not share revenue with YouTube channels that broadcast games from other publishers.

So you must be Nintendo-exclusive or you cannot be part of the program?
Where’s the outcry? Imagine if Nintendo starts doing this to third-party developers and indie developers.
I’m sorry, but I would not be okay with being forced to produce only one kind of content when it’s MY channel or be withheld from profiting just because their games aren’t the only things I feature on it.
Yeah, I would just stop creating Nintendo content.
They will just be disqualified from the program… they cant make money off of other companies products.
don’t get mad over something that makes sense.
Just because you can do something and have rules on your side, doesn’t make it the right course of action.
I’m not okay with this either. But you have to think deeper into this. Google is the one who started this whole problem THE SECOND THEY BOUGHT YOUTUBE!
That’s only if you register your whole channel with the creator’s program where you can’t be allowed to post Non-Nintendo related videos, Only registering a video individually can let you be allowed to still post non-Nintendo related videos.
Now Nintendo need to update their game list to: all fucking nintendo games.
do you know how licensing works?
I guess I am not, but please, could you tell me WHY oh why I can make videos for this program of Pikmin 1 and 3, but not from Pikmin 2?
No one thought of just making a channel for nintendo products then a separate one for everything else? Yea its a bummer to need two channels but if that’s Nintendo’s way with this programme then we get to still do both? Right?
and where the fuck is Costa Rica????????
Are you joking ??? You gotta be, and please don’t tell us you are from US cause you just going to reinforce the stereotypes
Get off the internet and go back to school please.
Reblogged this on Too Geek To Function.
If you sign up to this, you are letting Nintendo walk right over you. Please don’t sign up for this bullshit.
Won’t be joining it when it comes to Ireland. It’s terrible..
Nintendo gets free advertising with gamers like us who upload footage on YouTube. How stupid can they be?
this^
exactly
I hope this program actually pays off for all who are involved.
