Dorkly has put together a skit called “If Sega Owned Mario.” In particular, the piece pokes fun at Sonic Boom and how Mario and Luigi could potentially appear in games if Sega was in charge of designing them. The skit ends by taking a jab at Ubisoft and its initial release of Assassin’s Creed Unity, which launched with a number of noticeable technical issues last year.
Skit: If Sega Or Ubisoft Owned Mario

HAHAHA! This is brilliant. I laughed out loud for real.
Hahaha, that ending really highlights why I’m glad Nintendo isn’t selling their IP’s to others.XD
Oh man lol. It should have been the other way around though. Since sonic’s best friend is tails and mario’s brother is luigi, toad should have been the oddly jacked one since he’s is more of the 3rd person which knuckles is to sonic.
If you notice the picture on top Mario is knuckles and Luigi was sonic.
Haha. Nice.
Not funny.
Yea I thought it could have been way better, and the voices suck.
OH God, that last part was scarry, U play brrrrr.
Fuck you ubisoft.

get your memes out of my face
why don’t you like dank memes? :^)
It drives me crazy when people pronounce Ubisoft “Ooo be soft”.
Shouldn’t it be “you-be-soft” ?
Yes it should.
Yeah, it’s definitely “you-be-soft”.
It took me a while to get out of my bad habits with pronunciation. For instance: Deku is “dee-koo” not “deck-oo”, Ocarina is “oak-uh-ree-nuh” not “ach-uh-ree-nuh”, Chozo is “cho-zo” not “ko-zo”, and Saria is “saw-ree-uh” not “suh-ree-uh”.
I’m still not sure of some pronunciations to this day when it concerns Nintendo’s Zelda and Metroid series. Twili, Gerudo, Luminoth names (except U-Mos…his name is actually pronounceable, and most other alien races of Metroid you don’t hear about as often, like the Ylla and N’gren.
Terms like Deku aren’t really stated in game so I use my own pronunciations lol. I’ll still acknowledge the proper ones, but I like how the “deck-oo” version sounds much better than the “dee-koo” for instance. And “Oak-uh-ree-nuh” of Time just sounds wrong to me :p I call Saria “Sare-eeya” I guess that’s how I would describe it. Chozo I would call chozo, but I don’t recall seeing that term. Since I’m playing the game and it’s text instead of spoken words, if I haven’t heard the term before, I go with whatever pronunciation sounds the best and takes me deeper into the game just that little bit extra.
Brilliant! I gotta make something like this myself!
Sega makes games with a lot of glitches? Wow Sega is now fucking pathetic in my book.
Haha. Both Sega and Ubisoft have been similar in that regard lately with their franchises, but Sega is definitely the worst offender with Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric. 😂
Reading this was really laughable. Reminded me of the way Sakashit from Nintendo responded to the way critics and fans alike reacted to Samus being a whiny wimp in Other M.
I usually don’t find Dorkly very funny. But this what hilarious!!! Lol HELP IM GLITCHING hahaha!!!! Lol
Honestly, I hate these “mario sprite” animations
I like some, but not this one, I really hate the voices they use.
I’ve seen the future and it sucks . . .
Good for you. I’ll keep enjoying Nintendo’s games on the Wii U, Nintendo 3DS, Nexus, and iPhone in the meantime.
It’ll be a fucking nightmare if it were to happen.
Like princess peach
