      1. Hopefully, would be a huge let-down if there’s no Metroid for WiiU.
Also really really hoping for a Mario Sunshine remake for the WiiU; I even saw it in my dream a couple days ago (like, seriously), must be a sign, right? It has to happen! :p

              1. Hah, describes it quite well.
That was absolutely disappointing. I don’t even know what to say right now, that was just… terrible. Didn’t even last an hour. We got nothing we were expecting, not even any info on the new Zelda?? What was that supposed to be? Just… what??? LMAO

                1. We knew we weren’t getting anything on the new Zelda Wii U- that got delayed until next year.

Triforce Squad or whatever the 3DS one is called is no substitute- it just looks like a glorified Four Swords.

                  1. Really? I actually thought we might get some updates on it, because it got delayed. Didn’t know it was obvious we wouldn’t be getting any info on it at all.
And I agree on the Triforce Heroes thing, didn’t get me excited at all. Never been a huge fan of Four Swords, played it a couple of times with friends as it was free for the 3DS a while ago, it was alright, but nothing I’d feel like keep going back to to play more.

                2. Nintendo Tetrarch Quadramus-NX

                  >>>I’m speechless, High Command you disappointed even me, this will not be forgotten>>>

                3. I feel like they were holding back some info. Metroid and Zelda probably got moved to “Codename NX”. What of all of the 3rd-party support announcements? Nintendo dropped the ball on this one. Underwhelming. The biggest thing was Star Fox Zero and that was at the beginning. (the puppets were pretty legit though)

                  1. If that’s truly the case (Metroid + Zelda being shifted to their next console), the whole situation would be even more disappointing than it already is. That would just be a very obvious sign for them already giving up on the WiiU, which wouldn’t make their supporters all too happy, I’d assume.
And yea, Starfox Zero didn’t look all that impressive to me, to be honest. However, I’ve never been a huge fan of the Starfox series, so I realize that my opinion on that one might not hold too much significance. :p

                    1. I WAS really excited for SF0, but then they spouted off that it was a re-imagining of 64 and there was no new extravagant plot and many lines of SF64 dialogue were being reused.

This makes the second time the series has been retconned, apparently, and that saddens me.

                    1. You can’t call this an N64 rehash. There’s no multiplayer. So get it right, “Half-baked Rehash.” ;)

                    2. Yeah. The puppets. That was my highlight. Made me feel like we were going to get something amazing after all that like last years. As a hardcore Star Fox fan though, I’m disappointed. It does not look like I thought it would or should. The Nintendo World Championships were more exciting. A lot more exciting and it showed enough of Super Mario Maker. The Smash reveal Sunday was better.

  1. Well, we’re getting everything we wanted: new Zelda, new Metroid, new Animal Crossing…
Just not what we were expecting for each title, which is extremely disappointing.

      1. Reality is Dolphin Revolutionized Cafe NX

After seeing that ND its for the best they didnt release F-Zero party 3DS anime weeabo edition.

    1. Me too. I’m happy with the 3DS games, but I was expecting more Wii U announcements. Especially a new Metroid, F-Zero or something. What he hell has Retro been doing?

      1. Reality is Dolphin Revolutionized Cafe NX

Wasnt Retro supposed to be at E3? I was really hyped up to see whatever they are doing but NO! 3DS and anime weeabo shit right through the fucking floor, FUCK!

They had awesome start with showing StarFoxZero and then they show 3DS bs.

  2. Fuck you! Not even kind… This shit sucks hard…. Nintendo has lost the e3.
I was expecting for a metroid/fzero/new ip/even a fucking 3ds hd title such as kid icarus… Not even close, we have mario mario amd mario fuck you miyamoto and fuck you nintendo! Metroid is my favourite franchise of all time and you do this to their fans… Suck my dick assholes

    1. Reality is Dolphin Revolutionized Cafe NX

I wouldnt say E3 sucked, but was dissapointing, the lack of WiiU support from Nintendo is something that pisses me. StarFoxZero was the best thing about the event, looked so cool, was so hyped after seeing it, but the later announcements were like, really? And fuck the 3DS, seriously just fuck that tiny screen system.

  3. Reality is Dolphin Revolutionized Cafe NX

Seriously……FUCK THE 3DS….SHIT! Is it hard to fucking make TV compatible games using their homeconsole.

StarFoX looked awesome, was the best part of Digital Event, everything after it was basically “oh look we have game for a fucking 3DS tiny screen system!” Ok im glad Metroid is back and stuff, but shit, like do they even know that they have a freaking homeconsole out there.

And what the fuck Retro is doing? Werent they supposed to have a new game announced?

    1. I feel your pain man this is an insult to Metroid fans I need to take a break from Nintendo until their next console b/c after this IDK what to say anymore. That was just bad.

    1. It might be a fun romp, assuming it has online multiplayer (And voice chat! Lol…yeah right)
But given we have a N3DS, I expected a REAL Metroid Prime game. :/ Not this.

  4. Why would any fan of the Metroid franchise be happy about this? How could anyone be happy with this? I feel insulted by this trash.

  5. pink0crystal0midbus

Screw you Nintendo. I was waiting for them to jump out like, “April Fools” during their terrible direct, but it never came.

Nintendo has literally lost me. Call me when the NX comes out and it has good graphics, 3rd party support, Nintendo exclusives people ACTUALLY want and actual common fucking sense.

    Goodbye.

    1. Yeah lol the NX has to be coming out next Fall because all the big games we seen from the event we’ve already known about, no Zelda U , all this is pointing toward maybe a release next Fall, We don’t know what big games they have coming after next spring.

  6. Every time I see a Metroid ANYTHING, it always leaves me wondering “how can people like this crap? It looks STUPID”. To each their own, I guess.

  7. I swear, this E3 from Nintendo is a huge disappointment in every sense. Every title we hoped for aren’t exactly how we wanted and better titles are coming next year which I thought they said they weren’t gonna focus on 2016. Again, fucking disappointing. X(

  8. As a true Metroid fan having been playing since I was 5, owning the trilogy, Super Metroid, the original Metroid, and playing the rest, I’m like gonna die from this game. One thing Metroid is known for (when compared to the likes of Mario) is that it contained few spin-offs (one of which was well-received by fans). But to have this curve ball thrown when fans craved a new, true, isolated Metroid game where you’re forced to think under life-or-death situations and sometimes kill loved ones (Rundas, Baby Metroid) to save the galaxy was just really sad. Samus nor Metroids were even seen in the trailer of the game, so how’s this a Metroid game to begin with? We wanted to see how the Galactic Federation treats Samus after Fusion, NOT them partying it up in Space Soccer Blast Ball. Not just were Metroid Fans disappointed, since Animal Crossing Fans have been impatient for Animal Crossing on Wii U since the Animal Crossing Plaza, and getting Amiibo Party instead was the same thing — Nintendo should know that Spinoffs are extremely hard to pull off for these kinds of titles, especially when the titles lack a new game on the current gen console, or when the series is based off of isolation and looming danger. C’MON NINTENDO!

  9. Seriously Nintendo?
Metroid, Zelda…they have turned them into family, Mario-party type franchises.
Fuck you Nintendo. Way to use the new power of the N3DS. Way to give Metroid Prime the “splatoon” paintjob.

After I buy “X” I’m done. And I’m buying a PS4 this summer. I hope you enjoyed giving your 20+ year, adult, hardcore fanbase the finger one more time.

When I (if I) have kids, I’ll be back, assuming you are still around. And I doubt you will.

  10. As long as it doesn’t stoop to the hellish levels of Other M, but it’s too early to say for sure that it won’t.

I’m hoping what we see here isn’t close to the finished product- the graphics style looks NOTHING like the Prime series.

You wanna weigh in on this, Commander?

    1. Nintendo Tetrarch Quadramus-NX

      >>>I seriosly hope the graphics are improved on this, then it can be a fun game but I want my real game!>>>

      1. Same here.

In all honesty though, this looks like the same mistake that was made with Banjo-Kazooie Nuts n’ Bolts- they’re just slapping a recognizable name or brand on a new concept in hopes that familiarity will help it sell. Yeah it’ll still be fun, but it won’t feel like a game in the series it supposedly belongs to (that’s my biggest gripe with Nn’B- it shouldn’t have been a BK game at all).

  11. I don’t even enjoy the Metroid series, but this game really drops the ball. We wanted Animal Crossing, they gave us a party game, Metroid, a multiplayer game, Paper Mario, a spin off. Thanks a lot Nintendo. U_U

    1. “Paper Mario, a spin off”
Not really, it’s Mario & Luigi rescuing Paper Mario from a self-induced whirlwind of suckage.
Learn to respect the superior RPG series, fag.

      1. Your argument would have actually made since if you hadn’t added the unnecessary cursing. Regardless we’ve already had a Mario and Luigi game, which was given mediocre scores by both reviewers and gamers alike, so a Paper Mario for Wii U was expected. Paper Jam looks fun, but in no way was it the game that people were expecting or really wanting to see.

  12. This is shameful and disgusting, where’s our 2D Metroid 6? Where’s our 3D Metroid? The only amazing thing about this was Starfox, and they played that card WAAAAAAY too early, I mean, seriously? You’re going to announce stupid-ass party games from franchises that deserve better at fucking E3? I still love Nintendo games, but this is shameful.

  13. ouch… japan marketing/demographic has spoken again and the game will be release on 3DS…. I guess the 3DS needs also some game giving the huge number of 3DS consumers.

  14. ….that’s it? This is the new Metroid game? Which doesn’t even star Samus herself nor have any story behind Phazon or mentioning Metroids….

    That’s it. This year’s E3 fucking blows!

    1. Nahhh, It’s MetroidLand! (totally not bashing NintendoLand, I kinda liked it)
MetroidLand is the new party game the whole family can enjoy!
Shit…that’s going to piss Metroid fans off…maybe we put the word “Prime” in the name and hope noone will notice?

*checks social media” – Shit. They noticed. Ninte do fans can’t be tricked anymore??? We thought after the Wii, they’d buy anything?? D’:

  15. This really isn’t that bad, at least the main part of it PLAYS like Prime. I dont remember this many people bitching when Metroid Prime Pinball got released. Yeah sure a new 2D game would have been bonerific, but I dont see any harm in this, its not like another team was making a new Metroid game anyway.

    1. Metroid Prime Pinball was cool and came around the time of other great Metroid Prime games. I just don’t know about this yet. They didn’t say much about it either.
