According to Renegade Kid’s co-founder, Jools Watsham, the Metroid-esque indie title Xeodrifter will be making its way to Wii U on July 30 in North America. If you are based out of Europe, the wait is a little bit longer — they have just recently submitted the forms for certification. Additionally, Watsham was able to confirm the one-way cross-buy feature for this game; if you have already purchased it via Nintendo 3DS, you will get the Wii U version for free. However, that deal seems not to be reciprocal. While this is not the first time Nintendo has implemented a cross-buy feature for a title, it is always great news for multi-platform owners.

So if you buy it on the Wii U you don’t get it free for the 3ds? What the heck?!
…Baby steps, Nintendo. Baby steps.
This is just plain disrespectful to a man that has just perished!

Of course “that deal seems not to be reciprocal”. It’s not even possible. You can’t have already purchased it on the Wii U and get it free on 3DS because it does not yet exist on Wii U.
I’m getting this on the vita
