Respected technology publication Digital Foundry have gone hands on with the revamped version of ZombiU for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. Those of you who thought a lot would be lost without the addition of a second screen were apparently worrying over nothing as the site says that surprisingly little is lost by moving away from Wii U’s touchscreen. As you would expect things such as lighting and textures have been cleaned up for the current batch of consoles. Digital Foundry sums up its report by stating that Zombi may have dropped the U affix, but the essentials make it to new platforms without losing the central hook.

Considering WiiU version was done 3 yearsago with old devkits at the time and from a dev who planned to not support wiiu no mstter how Zombiu sold ??? plus lots and i mean lots of graphic effects are missing on ps4 like creases on clothes and the atmosphere of the lighting gone it’s brighter not better.

WiiU version was done on devkit number 3 out of 5 less then half the power basically and to be fair the wiiu version is on 2 screens at once and has more graphical effects in place then ps4,basically stripped ps4 of atmosphere and textures might be cleaned up here and there but nothing wiiu couldnt do if they spent more time with it and creases in clothes DIGITAL F is textures you know how come ps4 has no creases in clothes ????

That’s loosing quite a bit I think….lighting is better but I actually like the look of the WiiUs lighting…more athmosperic, hides some cosmetic stuff too…I also liked the lense filter.
You guys are not seeing the big picture here. Ubisoft wanted it was just left a president, regardless of how good or bad it could be, but with this port Ubisoft now have the possibility to actually make a Zombi U sequel that will not be tie to the Wii U.

Textures are better, the lighting is worse. Its brighter, it missing details such as dirt on the lens, and the boom light looks like vaseline making textures look weirdly smooth under certain conditions.
It makes the whole game look worse as a whole.
If this game does well on the PS4 and XBO, this goes to show that Sonyans and Xbots are total hypocrites.
If it does well is because the game releasd for cheap, $20, I know its not an impulse buy but its still a 3rd cheaper than when Zombi U released. I’m fairly certain it’ll do good at least on the PS4.
Is not about price, but most claimed the game was entirly bad as it is, from the gamepad mechanic to the “cluncky” and unfair gameplay, and it was worthless because of it. The thing is, the game is a great survival horror, and also is really hard at times (a hardcore game, for those with patience and skill).
Still is true that most would take it because is dirty cheap, but also is it on Wii U nowadays, yet I assure you most of those who bashed it and aslo told the game wasn’t big of a deal will play it, and probably loose their temper.
I don’t give a fuck what Digital Foundry is talking about, this game is a cheap experience on the PS4 and Xbox One. The definitive version will always be on the Wii U because of the gamepad, it adds so much to the depth of the game

It’s laughable that DF thinks you get the same feel of this game without the game pad. I loved it on Wii U and if this lazy port means they make a second for PS4 I’m happy. As long as they put some thought and effort into it. But let’s face facts, the Wii U is still the definitive version because of its ‘gimmicky’ controller
WiiU is definitive because of dual screen and graphics,textures on characters clothes and lighting is much better on wiiu the fire when blowing up the petrol drums was much more intense on wiiu go watch that bit lots of bits where wiiu basically proved better graphics,cleaning up a few environment textures but taking away character textures and brightening the lighting on ps4 ie because of less detail prob allows this…

Most of the recent reviewers point that the game loses its personality without the second screen and there´s even a glitch with the inventory management this time that don´t allow you to drop unecessary items nor rearrange them. Also gone were the character voices telling the story when you find a letter or document. It does well enough for an average survivor horror on those systems, but it surely loses a lot of personality.
Digital Foundry deals with technical characteristics like framerate and resolution. They wouldn’t recognize immersion if it drowned them to death.
And that’s why they’re so irrelevant. Remember when they lost it over MK8 framerate only dropping by 1..ONE FUCKING FRAME but never lost it when Titanfall’s framerate sucked ON PC !

The sad thing is, if you ACTUALLY put effort in this game it might have had a chance to sell across the board.
I don’t see this game doing well on the Xbox One or PS4 despite the upgrades. It is still the same story, main controls, etc. It’s missing the gamepad functions and has gained better graphics.
That doesn’t make it a “great game.”

its getting great reviews on steam. i don’t know why nintendo fans go on about exclusives i’d rather have a console that came out witb all the games. especially when you get 6 or 7 exclusive games a year and thats all the games you get. i too have bought a wii u for nintendo games because i haven’t owned a nintendo since super nintendo. this is my last nintendo because fucking toys don’t interest me games do. we all wish for the glory days but that ship bas sailed.good for ubisoft i hope devils third finds it way on a real console too.

When I read that and looks at the video I thought OK ubisoft tries to get some money back. Why not? In fact I am surprise they haven’t done it sooner if I am honest. What will be interesting to see is the sales of zombie. If the sells performance are better than wii U that will somehow give reason to ubisoft not supporting the wii U. But if the game perform poorly on other plateform I don’t know if Ubi will think the game was crap in the first place and players does not matter the plateform did not like it. And on the top of that will think that Wii U owners want the same quality games as other platform (not half bake games) and will start again to release games on the wii U. I for sure won’t buy that game I own for the wii U.
