      1. I think so!

Still. Battlefront looks tempting to a scifi fan. I’m very tempted to get a second console now.

I’m considering an XboxDone because it will sync easy with my pc, phone and large Microsoft movie library. Basically, the xbox is a PC, but one I don’t have to upgrade every year, and I’m sure I’ll find one forb$300 during the holidays.

Also, I want to play the next Mass Effect, Tomb Raider and a couple other games Microsoft bribed devs to make early release or exclusive.

So before anyone crucifies me, look at it as I just want a dirt-cheap PC I can play 3rd party games on, while streaming all the movies I bought on my Windows phone to my tv.

I won’t sell my WiiU. Gotta play Zelda, X and Fatal frame, and I’ve bought too many eshop games…so I’m kinda “all in” at this point. I’m not picking up the NX unless it launches with a Zelda or Metroid, or if it’s a handheld hybrid.

        1. “Battlefront looks tempting to a scifi fan”
As both a sci-fi and Star Wars fan, I’m not feeling that game at all. I can’t really explain why, it doesn’t seem to be that interesting.

          “I’m considering an XboxDone”
You could always get a PC that’ll last you 5 years easily for a similar price, and you can even plug it to the tv if you want to. Even if you want to avoid the (few) disadvantages of PC gaming, it feels to me like the PS4 is (like it was last gen) a safer inversion in the long run, going by the amount of exclusives planned.
But if you’re really that interested in Microsoft’s exclusives, there’s not much I can say.

          1. You really think I can get a PC with HDMI in and out, that can offer a full gaming experience without constantly hassling with configurations and settings? I used to be a PC gamer long ago. I just don’t have time or patience for that sgit anymore. You really think for $300 I could pull off a console gaming experience on a PC?

If so, I’d totally do that instead.

            1. In addition to the PC, I’d need a $50 controller…IDK, I just think the mass-produced XBO is the cheapest PC I can get that will play games at consistant quality out of the box with nothing else to buy.

              1. Xenorogue Master Ridley X3

As I said in another article, I’m done with being loyal to any company, namely Nintendo, which is why I’ll gladly get an Xbone when it’s cheap (which probably won’t be til near the end of this generation, so I can play Rare Replay; loyalty to a company is for idiots. I guess I’ve become Jaded Ridley, so to speak. xP PS4, here I come next year when the Wii U hits another bloody game drought; we know it’s coming!

                  1. Xenorogue Master Ridley X3

I’ve been loyal to Nintendo since the early fucking 90s, playing on nothing BUT Nintendo consoles til late 2000s when I played barely 5 games on non Nintendo consoles. I was even a fanboy at one point as I defended Nintendo like a fucking idiot. I’m more of a fucking fan than you’ll ever fucking be, you filthy fucking dick riding fanboy, as I see when they fuck up & call them out on their fucking stupidity unlike you. You’d probably buy pure shit from Nintendo if they said it was fucking fun to play with! lol Now go back to the circle jerk you & your fellow mindless fanboys take part in because I’m done with you for today, bitch.

                    1. Anubis, Son of Osiris

Don’t fucking mind that loser. He used to get trashed by me, JellyBean, Adarazz, iceazeama, neutron…etc. Trust me, he’s nothing.

                      1. Xenorogue Master Ridley X3

I know he’s a loser troll but sometimes you just have to curb stomp these idiots or they walk all over you.

                      2. HollowGrapeJ (The Legendary Video Game Master And Anime Wizard)

                        Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaang. You tore him up.

                        1. Xenorogue Master Ridley X3

It’s… been a very trying summer, Hollow. All these fanboys defending Nintendo after that shitty E3 this year has just been pathetic & sad. As I said, Nintendo could hand them a pile of shit, say it’s fun, & they’d believe it. Oh wait! That’s Nintendo’s E3 2015 in a nutshell!

                1. Well, maybe not by $300, but throw an extra $100 in there (take into account things like free online and cheaper games to compensate) and you might be getting there. And I was under the impression even most pre-built PCs have an integrated HDMI port nowadays.

But I understand if setting everything up is just too much trouble. I find myself gravitating towards console gaming more and more as I have less free time. It’s simpler that way.

                  1. Yes, exactly. If I was not an adult strapped for time, I’d go back to the PC world, hell, I thought it was fun upgrading and configuring…I just don’t have the time and have been slowly getting addicted to convenience whereever I can get it. That’s why I sold out and started dow loading my games on eShop. No cartriges to swap out, just crash on the couch and game.

I’m no fan of xBox, but given my PC and windows phone lifestyle…it’s sure damned convenient to integrate.

IDK. I’m not making a snap decision. I have N3DS games to play – I’m really fucking bummed about the Starfox delay, that was supposed to keep me busy during the holiday. Ugh. 1st world peoblems. I really can’t complain.

                    1. Xenorogue Master Ridley X3

This is why the ones defending no voice chat with the “use skype” or something bullshit are probably just fucking kids: they don’t know that as adults we are indeed strapped for time so the convenience of having voice chat built into a game is fucking crucial. Or they are adults that mooch off others for their video games, internet, movies, etc.

              2. In today’s busy society, I didn’t expect to encounter gamer who spends more time configuring for games rather than play games. Interesting!

Nah! Didn’t mean to dis you. I have desktop PC with GTX 970 from MSI. I could play almost all games at higher setting than PS4(Wii U is out of conversation since 99.99% of Wii U games aren’t LEGALLY available for PC). But would I play every single game on PC? No!! Why? Because I rarely have time to play game and every second is precious time in my life. Beside, most of my friends and few co-workers have PS4. If I want to join online play with them, I have to play games on PS4, sitting in my comfortable couch.

                  1. Beside, if you were to buy PC games on launch date, majority of the times, you will stay have to pay same price as console counterpart. I honestly don’t know why people bring up cheaper games to argue against console gamers. I know as time passes, PC games will become cheaper, but on launch day, that’s not the case. Sorrg bud. I like to pick up my games on launch day. Otherwise, no thanks!

                      1. Obviously, I pre-order and buy games on release day. Of course, before I place my order, I will try out demos and if I like them, take my money. If not, I will cancel my pre-order or I won’t buy at all.

I pre-ordered Grand Theft Auto V for PC way back in January 2015 and week before the release day, I pre-loaded it in my hard drive. I was able to play GTA V on release day without taking 30 minutes to a hour to play GTA V on release.

Ironically, I have zero friend who plays games on PC so after I finished the main mode, I uninstalled GTA V from hard drive. If I ever feel like replaying it, I will just play it on my console.

(I know you didn’t mention pirating games but to those who suggest people to pirate games, I am totally against pirating.)

                    1. HollowGrapeJ (The Legendary Video Game Master And Anime Wizard)

I saw Mad Max for $20 before it even released. Steam isn’t the only place you can get good deals, you know.

                      1. Good for you. However, games I’m interested in, I don’t land on good deals on launch. I start seeing good deals few months after the launch.

        1. Why is everyone iffy about battle front? Have you seen the trailers? (I assume you have)
I grew up playing Tie Fighter and X Wing, and this looks good to me.
          What am I missing?

          1. Wouldn’t really know how to put it into words. It just feels too massive, to uncompromising with which kind of gameplay it wants to adopt. My favorite part is the dogfighting (I think it looks fantastic), but then I see the bad gun play in the FPS segments and the stiff animations and ugly looking models in the 3rd person on-foot moments and I can’t help but think it’ll probably be a jack of all trades, master of none.

            1. I would totally be getting it for the dogfights. I hope there isn’t too much FPS…. It would be like in Assassins creed when they make you go back to the present. x.x

        2. It’s EA, so it will be all looks and no substance plus they will screw you at some point with DLC.

The no single player is a deal breaker for me. To have a game based on Starwars with no single player is like drinking a bloody mary without the vodka.

      2. Between Fallout 4 and Xenoblade, this is going to be a busy last quarter. I hope Bethesda learned from their mistakes with Fallout 3. It’s doesn’t seem that way when you take a look at Skyrim, though.

            1. HollowGrapeJ (The Legendary Video Game Master And Anime Wizard)

Hmm same here. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is my first game in the series and I think it’s decent. It isn’t as good as I thought it would’ve been with how much praise it gets. Well, I guess I should try modding it.

              1. That’s because you’re right, it is just decent-good. Nothing else. I don’t know how active the modding community is, but I’ll guess it’s probably huge by now. If that doesn’t work, I’d recommend you to try Morrowind instead.

      3. Xenorogue Master Ridley X3

Xenoblade Chronicles X could have been higher on this list if Nintendo didn’t fuck up with getting healthy 3rd party for the Wii U. Sadly, there’s not enough of us with a Wii U to help this game in getting huge attention or sales numbers.

          1. I think the crash of third party support hurts the growth of the install base and makes people shy away from the WiiU, knowing they have to buy it as an “add on” if they want to play other games.
And many parents won’t want to spring for two consoles for Christmas.

            1. Yeah, I get it now. Then again, that could have been a double-edged sword, depending on which games the Wii U is getting. Imagine it getting something like a port of the PS360 version of MGSV. I mean, I’d be glad and all, but it would eat from the sales of the titles released in the same time frame.

              1. Xenorogue Master Ridley X3

What Jaded_Drybones said. That’s what I meant by what I said. If the install base for Wii U was bigger, I bet the game would do better & get a hell of a lot more attention. But this all does hinge on WHEN Nintendo releases Xenoblade Chronicles X, as you put it. If they release it when a bigger game releases say a port of MGSV, of course it’s most likely going to get it’s ass beat by the game that has more fans & isn’t as niche as Xenoblade is.

      4. Look how beautiful the non-Nintendo games look. It really pisses me off when Nintendo fanboys still try to argue that the WiiU is strong and devs are lazy. Case and point: why hasn’t Nintendo made anything that good looking?

        Xenoblade looks pretty good though.

        1. Which ones? Because as far as I’m concerned, only SOMA looks anything close to ‘beautiful’, and that’s because Frictional is a god-tier developer when talking about atmosphere. StarCraft too, since it has such great art direction.

The rest of the games either looks sub-par when compared with other games on the systems (Fallout 4 and Yakuza, but at least they have nice aesthetics) or they have this generic ‘realistic’ style done in shades of brown (Tomb Raider). Just Cause has a nice use of colors, but the game itself scream ‘CLUNKY ANIMATED OPEN-WORLD GAME’, and don’t get me started about Halo. The series features the most plastic, stoic and soulless character design in the history of video games.

          1. Agreed. Metroid Prime1 looks way better than Halo. I always thought Halo looked bland and Meh. I would LOVE an HD release of the Prime Trilogy. At this point, that could really pull Nintendo’s ass out of the fire with Fans. I’ll take an HD remake with some added stuff at this point.

            1. Yeah, there’s a lot of games that use similar armor to Halo that look tons of times better. Even Destiny has better art direction with their suits of armor, and we’re talking about a game made by the same developer.

            2. Xenorogue Master Ridley X3

Agreed. Give me Kraid in the Magmoor Caverns in the first Prime game. Originally, Kraid was going to be a boss in the Phazon Mines but was removed because of time constraints, but I feel he’d be more suited to being a boss for Magmoor Caverns since that place doesn’t even have a boss fight but really needed one.

          2. HollowGrapeJ (The Legendary Video Game Master And Anime Wizard)

You know what he meant. In terms of pure graphics. Nintendo games are colorful and the art style can make the games look good. But they don’t show off all the fancy stuff like dynamic shadows, advanced lighting, rain effects, reflections on objects such as cars, etc. You get the point.

            1. Yes, I know what he means. That’s exactly why I’m defying that statement. Larger polycount does not a better-looking game make. Games with strong artstyle are more ‘beautiful’ and stand the test of time better than realistic games, no matter how many ‘fancy stuff’ (because that’s all what that is in most cases, really) the developers cram into the game. Yoshi’s Island is still one of the best looking games I know, and it came out quite some time ago.

There’s nothing worse than a game that opts for an artstyle that becomes obsolete with the immediate advance of technology. Just take a look at the ugly messes that are the PSP GTAs.

              1. Yeah, but the problem is, its more about gameplay than graphics, which is a good thing. GTA on the PSP was an open world game, and making a 3D openworld game stand the test of time on PSP hardware, from a visual standpoint, is not really something you should expect from the handheld. Even visually appealing games on the DS didn’t stand the test of time, even if their art style was in their favor. Look at Okamiden, it has a glorious and beautiful art style, however all of the colorful texture are hugely pixelated, and the age of the hardware really does show. I think it’s more important to opt for better gameplay that choose graphics that could lower your gameplay quality.

                1. “Even visually appealing games on the DS didn’t stand the test of time, even if their art style was in their favor”
Depends of the game, obviously. Generally speaking, 3D games don’t look good at all on the DS. The 2D ones, though, look gorgeous, even when taking into account its low resolution. I’m talking about games like Ghost Trick or FFTA2.

“I think it’s more important to opt for better gameplay that choose graphics that could lower your gameplay quality.”
Absolutely, but I don’t see what does to do with the argument at hand. It’s not like gameplay, graphics and artsyle art mutually exclusive.

                  1. Oh, it was just your word choice. When you said that there was “nothing worse than a game that opts for an art style that becomes obsolete after immediate advance of technology.”
I read it and assumed that you meant the overall game was bad because of it. However I believe I was wrong. And yes, I did mean 3D, sorry for not slecifying. Actually, if we do want to talk about a 3D game that stands the test of time due to art style and such on DS, it would be Pokemon Diamon, Pearl, Platinum, Hearthold, and Soulsilver. To this day, they still look great, and would look even better at higher resolutions and such.

                    1. “I read it and assumed that you meant the overall game was bad because of it”
Well, the presentation often takes a hit after a couple of years.

“To this day, they still look great”
I’m not really a fan of DPP’s mixture of 3D graphics and sprites. I think they got it right with BW. You’re probably thinking of the battle screens instead of the overworld, though, in which case I agree.

And speaking of Pokémon, the Ranger games look amazing, even if I never liked the gameplay that much.

          3. i like how you bash what you can’t have buy your nintendo dolls and shut the fuck up. have fun with nintendos huge holiday line up. mario tennis might come out but i liked it better on n64.

        2. Amazing. I make a comment about how nintendrones defend the wiiu, so instead they talk about a standard definition console. Lol too funny, you guys are great for a laugh.

Marce I agree that Yakuza isn’t great looking, but better than most games on wiiu. They’ve done a good job on the body and facial animations. Please don’t get off tangent though- I was talking about graphics not character design. That makes you look like a fanboy. And Tomb Raider does look good, that’s as far as that needs to go. Why you are bashing on open world games, I donno.

          1. “but better than most games on wiiu”
That’s an unfair comparison, though. It’s like comparing Dragon Quest III on the NES with the one on GBC. They’re both 8-bit systems, but of course one is going to look much better than the other. You have to take the capabilities of the hardware into account when making this comparisons.

Besides that, I’m not entirely convinced about that. It really doesn’t look any better than some previous gen titles available on the Wii U (and it doesn’t even have any exclusive title with photorealist artstyle as far as I know), namely Deus Ex.

“Please don’t get off tangent though”
I’m not. I just diagree with you on the notion that graphical fidelity is what makes a game beautiful, which is a subjective concept in the first place. Looks like you misused beautiful more than anything else to me.

            “not character design”
Character design is part of both artstyle and graphics (polycount and 3D sculpting)

“And Tomb Raider does look good”
            See you in 5 years.

“Why you are bashing on open world games, I donno.”
They have a lot of good things, but sometimes they fail on the most basic aspects, transitions between animations being the most common offender.

        1. Xenorogue Master Ridley X3

This is a first. Usually it’s corporate slave eminem123! Or is this eminem123! who just forgot to log in? Eh. Whatever. In 54 minutes, you won’t matter either way as I’ll be too busy enjoying WWE Raw. But don’t worry. If you want attention, I’ll be back tomorrow… maybe.

          1. 1. You fucking idiot nobody is a slave as a matter of fact give me one or more examples saying or explaining in some way I am a slave and I will wait for the answer or answers this will be good
            2. That was not me
            3. I already have said Nintendo is beyond behind the times in several different categories just with building systems and I have already listed just in that department what they need to fix
            4. Everyone who regularly visits this website should also know what Nintendo need to improve on
            5. Ya retarded ass kid actually read what the fuck I typed

            1. HollowGrapeJ (The Legendary Video Game Master And Anime Wizard)

Why do you always number everything? Are you practicing trying to count? Ahaha.

                  1. Xenorogue Master Ridley X3

                    1. I’m sure you can stop sucking Nintendo’s dick by defending their atrocious mistake of letting Federation Farce be a thing but maybe not

                    1. 1. It is a game I well lol I didn’t expect if at all but ya know what I will try the game for myself when I get a 3rd but that won’t be for a while because I’m focusing on my vita but I will look at game play videos lol keep being retarded

            2. Xenorogue Master Ridley X3

              1. You defend Nintendo every time someone disses Federation Farce like the little bitch that you are.
              2. Must be your husband then.
              3. *yawn*
              4. *still yawning*
              5. *is asleep from boredom*

              1. 1. No I don’t I make a comment or correct someone if they don’t know fully about the game from what we know as of now
                2. Like how it has something to do with the next 3d metroid game as said by the metroid producer and that try the game for yourself of course this isn’t the metroid game people wanted but does that automatically make it a bad game of course not lol I’m sure ninty fans weren’t expecting all kinds of games Nintendo came out with throughout the years but once they tried those games for themselves maybe they liked them or maybe they didn’t but they at least played the damn games
                3. That must be someone else idk and I dont care
                4. Exactly you can’t come up with anything to refute the facts lol keep being fucking retarded

                1. Xenorogue Master Ridley X3

                  1. Exactly You are effectively defending Nintendo The fact you think you aren’t defending Nintendo by damage controlling Federation Farce is hilarious I pity you you poor delusional fool
                  2. Damage control & Nintendo dick sucking at it’s finest
                  3. It’s obviously your husband
                  4. Poor delusional fool

(Maybe typing without proper grammar punctuation like you do will help you understand me better. If it doesn’t fix your delusions, there is nothing more I can do about it to save you, kid.)

                  1. 1. Correcting someone about the knowledge of something is definitely not damage controlling that is telling them facts lol and or my opinion on the matter stop being retarded child
                    2. Trying a game for yourself is damage control lol you must have down syndrome
                    3. Don’t know what you are talking about keep being given oblivious to simple shut I tell you but I my bad you have poor reading skills you need to go back to school kid
                    4. You still can’t come up with anything to dispute what I said lol stop dodging things and comment on those things but you can’t because those are facts
                    5. Do you know what Nintendo need to do to get better you should with your constant bitching and of course I know and a lot of other people know it is as simple as that but you can’t get that through your thick head dumbass

                    1. Xenorogue Master Ridley X3

                      1. Whatever you say, Nintendo defender. Keep up the damage control for Nintendo’s ego & stupidity. It’s not like they don’t have enough idiots bending over for their arrogance.
                      2. Yep. As I said, these fanboys can be given total shit by Nintendo with the promise that it will be fun and they eat it up. That’s Federation Farce in a nutshell. Continue being a corporate slave. It seems to be working for you.
                      3. Someone that can’t spell or use punctuation shouldn’t be criticizing anyone’s reading skills.
                      4. The game has chibi models & has a fucking casual mini-game thrown into it. Those are all the facts I need to know that the game is going to be shit just like Other M. I want Metroid, not Invader Zim. Go make up a new video game franchise if Nintendo wants to cater to kids using a bounty hunter because the TRUE Metroid fans did not ask for kiddy bullshit.
                      5. Least I’m actually doing something instead of bending over & taking what Nintendo gives me up the ass like you’ve been doing every time someone calls Federation Shitstain what it is: shit.

              1. 1. No one is a slave just that ridley is a retard that is all I constantly tell him to read all of what I say but for some reason he can only read a little at a time and can’t counter or try to say something to all of what I post that seems like bitch behavior to me

                  1. 1. No you just can’t read apparently the stuff I’m saying is simple
                    2. I can type it again if you couldn’t read it the first time in simpler terms
                    3. I type fast and so I make mistakes

                  2. 1. No you just can’t read apparently the stuff I’m saying is simple
                    2. I can type it again if you couldn’t read it the first time in simpler terms for you to comprehend

      5. I am mainly looking forward to Xenoblade Chronicles X and Tales of Zestiria this year. Due to delays I will have to wait for Persona 5, Zelda U, and Starfox Zero until 2016.

      6. Fuck Halo 5. I lost all respect for 343 when they removed splitscreen. Without it, there is no way for my family and I to play together, and without it, when the servers go down for good, the game will have lost 3/4ths of all of its content. Halo without splitscreen is the last straw for me. R.I.P Halo. 2001-2007. Back when the games were made properly…

      7. Wow. Mark the calendar. We actually had a post where we had good discussion and debate with minimal trolling and over-the-top bashing. Hell, I even cursed 50% less. XD

Wish we could pull this off more often!

        1. That’s actually the first time I experienced and enjoyed a healthy discussion on this site. My faith in the people over here is at least a little bit restored. :’-) (tears of joy)

      8. HollowGrapeJ (The Legendary Video Game Master And Anime Wizard)

I haven’t played any previous Fallout games so I’m unsure about Fallout 4. I do want to play those other games but I’m not super hyped for them as I was for say… The Witcher 3 and Metal Gear Solid V.
