If you own Super Mario Maker then you will know there’s a lot of tools at your disposal. Some people have become super creative with them and have actually recreated a variety of levels from the batch of secret levels found in Super Mario Advance 4. The levels were only accessible using the e-Reader accessory special cards. Now these levels have been recreated using Super Mario Maker so that everyone can now play them.

  1. Cool! I’ll take a look at those as soon as I get a chance.

On a side note, the more I play Super Mario Bros, Super Mario 3 and Super Mario World levels, the more I fall in love with those games. They were really ahead of their time (especially SM3 and SMW).

Meanwhile, it is clear to my taste that New Super Mario Bros is really a shallow, poorly-designed experience. But that’s me.

    1. I don’t know, I have enjoyed the New Super Mario Bros for Wii and Wii U, but Miyamoto’s comment about it being time to take Mario in a new direction is right… Perhaps it is good we didn’t get a Galaxy for the WiiU so we can have the best possible Mario game on the next system, whatever the hell it is.

Luigi U was pretty awesome… liked the shorter, faster levels and higher jumps, not that it was a mind blowing concept, but worth it

      1. I’m honestly fine if they don’t continue the Mario Galaxy series. It got two games already, so why not give a chance for something that could be so much better? (Don’t get me wrong, I would buy a Galaxy 3 in a heartbeat, but I don’t think that it’s a priority at all.)

        1. Oh sure, whatever… Im not saying we need a Galaxy, but I would like to see the envelope continualy pushed and, while many saw 3d World as a let down, I enjoyed it and see it as a solid sequel to 3D Land, and now we can get something new… However, with that said a platformer sidescroller Mario should continue to be released in my opinion. I do enjoy them very much. We’ll see

      2. New Super Mario Bros for Wii was a good iteration, in fact. I felt the Wii U version kind of a poor ctrl + c / ctrl + v job, though. But, again, that’s me.

I want a new Mario Galaxy so bad… Those games (1 & 2) took the 3D Mario branch to a high level of quality. Isn’t it impressive that both games were designed for the Wii? My meaning is, if working on a limited hardware, Nintendo was capable of doing a wonderful job, can you imagine what they could be on the Wii U? The Galaxy frnachise is pure magic, and I hope that “Nintendo magic” haven’t been lost.

        1. Can’t argue with the Galaxt thoughts. I guess I am surprised by the limited success of the Wii U, but then again, by not getting certain games revamped or developed for it within year 1 or 2 of launch (HD versions of Galaxy 2, Skyward Sword, etc. as well as games that we are still waiting on like Starfox) … I mean, it really is “Wii 2” with the motion control still there but with added power and gamepad so why not just roll with that? Really just so many false moves with what really is a very good system.

          1. Right. The gap between the twins and the Wii U this generation is way smaller than the one between the Wii and the same twins last generation. Nintendo could have made the Wii U a great home console if worked properly. But they spent so much time on the 3DS and on amiibos. Whenever I think of the next generation for Nintendo, I get so scared.

            1. yeah… I am a little worried myself. It seems that much of the mistakes are common sense things and maybe they have to many, how should I say, “smart computer programming types” hanging around that might not be able to step back and see the landscape of the market probably.

Still waiting for them to give me a call :)

  2. >>>This is exactly what I see as waste of time>>>

    >>>You have a game where you can create your own levels as you want them and yet we have several recreating levels that already were made by the empire, such slaves>>>

  3. Wow, that’s a bummer. I’ve been trying to get people to notice my e-Reader remake levels for a while now, and when they finally get noticed by Nintendose it’s not even the ones I made. What?

    Well, here’s my versions anyway:

World e-1: Wild Ride in the Sky: 6F57-0000-0078-C49F
    World e-3: Vegetable Volley: 9E82-0000-0079-4772
World e-6: Magical Note Blocks: 1042-0000-007B-77FA
World e-7: The ol’ Switcheroo: 9A6B-0000-007B-FBF0
    World e-13: Chill Cavern: C850-0000-007E-3CD8
    World e-14: Inner Maze: 7042-0000-0081-70A4
    World e-17: Frappe Snowland: 0AE9-0000-0083-7D8C
    World e-21: 60 Seconds: D015-0000-0087-247E
    World e-27: The Gauntlet – Part 1: 077C-0000-0089-63D1
    World e-27: The Gauntlet – Part 2: B979-0000-0089-9F9A
World e-28: Hammer Bros. Ship: 132E-0000-008C-85A4
    World e-29: Bowser’s Airship 1: 7D4E-0000-0091-D3E9
    World e-30: Bowser’s Airship 2: C2CE-0000-0092-21D1

I skipped doing levels I knew people in the community already had done, and levels I believe wouldn’t be done justice in Super Mario Maker because of features not included.
I also tried to make them as faithful as possible using the Super Mario Bros. 3 engine instead of the Super Mario World one.

And yes, I did start remaking these levels before “Nigge”.
