Pre-Orders For Fire Emblem Fates Special Edition Are Open On GameStop

If you are anxiously awaiting pre-ordering the Fire Emblem Fates Special Edition, you can do it right now (at the time this article goes live) at GameStop’s website. This bundle, pictured above, will include all three versions of Fire Emblem Fates (Birthright, Conquest, and Revelation) on one Nintendo 3DS cartridge. Those who buy this will have access to Revelation three weeks before it becomes available for download on the Nintendo eShop. Additionally, the Special Edition is bundled with an art book and Fire Emblem-themed Nintendo 3DS XLcarrier pouch. Are you preordering this edition?

    1. Given a full-fledged game is around $40, this manages to be about $40 cheaper, without factoring in the pouch and art book. I’d say that is a decent value, presuming you are the type of person that wants to play all three games.

      1. Not really $40 less.
You get both games as DLC for $20 each, so it’s the same price.
You DO get the free artbook though. For hardcore fans, that’s still nice.

But it’s not saving anyone any money. ;)

            1. I thought you came off perfectly respectable? Maybe I just see the best in someone? Or maybe I am so jaded that this was normal for me. lol

        1. It’s saving me money. I have no room on my card for dlc so not only am I saving from it, it’s the only way to get the third game. Also free artbook and pouch :D

      2. I wanted to since I’m a completionist. But once I saw solid numbers I was turned away from it completely. I really liked the last entry that’s why I wanted to continue.

  1. Actually, this is a pretty good deal. 3DS games are typically $40, so essentially this is buy 2 get 1 free and it comes with loads of bonus goodies. If I was a Fire Emblem fan I’d be all over of this.

        1. You’re talking about convenience hmm?

Wait. It’s one cart anyway. You download the second game regardless which you start with. I’m pretty sure it doesn’t save you space either. The other two are DLC, and I’m not sure they build a special game. So… It may save you space on your SD card…

Hell, if you plan on downloading it so you always have it, it’s mute… I will concede that there might be some advantages for Cart gamers. :)

          1. I thought the three games where included in just one cart somehow (I have no idea about Awakening’s size, but I’m assuming they’d need large capacity ones for three similar games), that you didn’t need to download any of the three. Did I misunderstand it?

  2. Rogue Master XenoRidley X3

Wait. Getting this bundle still forces you to pay for the other 2 versions of Fire Emblem Fates!? Well I’m glad it’s sold out already because I was darn sure ready to preorder this. Thanks, Jaded! I was nearly tricked by Nintendo!

    1. I was just saying the bundle doesn’t actually save you money. As marc mentioned, it may save you space on your SD card, and you do get the awesome art book…but yeah. You’re paying for all 3 games. :)
