Nintendo has released a video showing off the soon-to-released Daisy costume in Super Mario Maker. As you can see, this version of the princess looks much different than the debunked picture that was floating around last November along with a then-false rumor of her inclusion. However, with a majority of the Mushroom Kingdom cast included as costumes, it was only a matter of time before we got the princess of Sarasaland. Um. Daisy still gets no love. She’s only in little spin off games…
Because that’s the kind of charecter she is. Like Waluigi, she’s there to have more options when playing games like Mario -Kart, -Party, -Tennis etc.
What about Rosalina? She appears in pretty much everything Mario related now even though she has the Galaxy games. Why did that happen? Lol.

Maybe it has to do with the fact Daisy’s first appearance was in a spin off Super Mario series, so they keep her in spin offs. Rosalina, on the other hand, was in Super Mario Galaxy which is part of the main series, so she gets to be in both spin offs & main games. That’s the only thing I can think of right now that would be Nintendo’s excuse as to why Rosalina is getting so much love & Daisy isn’t.
Unlike Waluigi, Dasiy was introduced in a Mario main title; Super Mario Land. Waluigi was made for the soul purpose of being Wario’s partner in the spin-off games.
Tell that to poor old Pauline. If you want to talk about female Mario characters relegated to oblivion, let’s talk about her.
funny thing about Pauline is that when I played DK, I allways though the girl was Peach, she was blonde and had a pink dress. it wasen’t before later on that I realized the diffrence. Here’s the deal; Pauline was never in a main Mario game either. she was in Donkey Kong and Mario vs. DK. but yeah she should at least be reintroduced in Mario kart or something.

They could always reintroduce Pauline as a Donkey Kong character in a future Donkey Kong Country game. Maybe she can be DK Island’s Tarzan. >.<
Are you sure Super Mario Land is a main Mario title? I always felt it was a spin off. Well if that’s the case, there goes my explanation to Hollow as to why Daisy doesn’t get as much love as Rosalina. *shrug*
Yes. it is a main Mario title. what I don’t get is why Daisy wasn’t in Super Mario 3D Land… seemed like a perfect game to use her.
It’s about fucking time, Nintendo! Now I have a reason to start playing Super Mario Maker again.
