The 10th EU Splatfest Results Are In

The 10th European Splatfest has now come to a close in Splatoon and the results have been calculated.

Although Team Ninja had a heavy advantage over Team Barbarian in terms of popularity, Team Barbarian managed to bag the winning spot in this weekend’s Splatfest by gaining the most amount of overall wins.

Team Ninja’s popularity was at 77% against Team Barbarian’s 23%, however Team Barbarian gained 59% of the wins whilst Team Ninja finished at 41%. The final score was 377-323.

Congratulations, Team Barbarian!

  1. Chains of Lucifer X3 {Let the shackles be released! Or fall forever!}

    Did a lot of people pick Ninja but then stopped playing the game immediately after? lol If that’s the case, so much for Splatfests prolonging the game’s replayability in some places. Or did everyone that picked ninja just suck at the game? Probably the latter since many most likely picked Ninja because it was cooler & not because they are skilled players that can win as Ninjas.

    1. Generally the more popular vote means more kiddies (i.e people bad at the game) picked it, so yeah. That’s almost always the case

  2. If only an 8% win lead completely negates a 3/1 Popularity lead … why even factor in popularity at all?

    Also … I can’t help but often feel that whatever team option is most appealing to cheaters and glitch exploiters (whom only make any matches involving them Zero fun to play), gets the most wins in the end, thus Evil is rewarded in this system.

    I love the concept of Splatfests, and the good outweighs the bad, but it could definately use some tweaking.

    PS: With rumors circulating that a Smash NX is in the works for launch, to keep the player base active (likely an enhaced port rather than a whole new game, if true), I wonder if Splatoon will get a Day One port as well. Splatting on the go in 900p.
