SEGA has confirmed today that 7th Dragon III Code: VFD will be coming to the Nintendo 3DS this summer in North America and will be priced up at $39.99. This is the very first time that a 7th Dragon game has ever been released outside of Japan so it’s pretty big news for those who have been curious about the franchise.

What is this game? and why should I be excited for it?
It’s a anime-esque RPG where you would have kill all dragons in existence to save humanity. It sounds kind of silly, but only the first game was a bit cheesy. This game however is the latest one in the series and more serious. There are many classes in your party (similar to Final Fantasy) that fulfills a certain niche like the Mage, Princess, Samurai, Rogue, Healer, Fighter, and Knight. I would recommend looking at some gameplay videos of it if you want to see how interesting it is.
PS: One of the themes from 7th Dragon was used for the Mega Man vs. Astro Boy Death Battle fight.
