Nintendo president and CEO Tatsumi Kimishima has revealed to investors that the company is uncertain about the future of their Quality of Life project. Kimishima says “It’s not yet at the level of a Nintendo product,” he said. “If we can release it, we’ll release it. If we can’t, then we’ll examine things further.”
Good it sounds completely Nintendo unrelated. Reminds me of one of those crappy paid commercials on TV advertising some dumb product
It’s not out of the norm given Nintendo’s history which is more than just video games.
True. Nintendo’s started out making cards/card games, then tried a few other things including a hotel chain. Gaming was when they REALLY hit their mark though, that’s for sure.
Love Motels to be more specific. Motels specifically built for couples that want a nice, romantic place to… Wait. Wait. I better think of the children. lol
I’ll let this not entirely safe for children video explain it!

Wait… Is that… Sofia Vergara? It is! It is Sofia Vergara! She definitely aged like a fine wine because she looks hotter today than she did then!
Sounds like the project is being dropped after the passing of Iwata. I’m still interested in hearing about it, and would even consider buying if it was anything worth my money!
My dreams of having a Nintendo sleep apnea machine by my bedside are crumbling before my eyes :(
That was never going to happen. They’re in entertainment/quality of life, not health per se.
Sometimes dreams really are just dreams
I like to be micro waved when I’m sleeping. whats that image xD
Don’t worry you got plenty of waves running through you currently thanks to current tech, we just won’t know the implications of it.
~*With Iwata dead, I guess they don’t have anyone in the company strongly pushing their Quality of Life product at the moment.*~
Lord Iwata* Fixed.
“I see you’ve inherited Quadraxis’ poweh!”
Seriously though, it’s a shame that this QOL thing may have gone with him. We’ll see, I guess.
QOL was an Iwata made thing. That’s why it’s stuck. Only Iwata really knew the direction to take it in…
~*This is why Sakurai needs to train his team. He never knows when he could kick the bucket, so he needs to make sure there is a suitable replacement for when the day comes he ever does die.*~
LOL I like how you subtly imply that Sakurai could possibly be immortal
I didn’t mean for that implication. Saying “when” should have been sufficient enough to imply he will die eventually as we all have to take that journey some day. Now if I used if instead of when, then I’d see your point.
it was the word “ever” that lead me to that conclusion. with that said, i think he very well may be immortal.
We hear more about the QOL then the Nintendo NX :(
Microwave sensor? Wonder what that would’ve been like, who knows? Probably could’ve pioneered true virtual reality SAO style, or useless for all I know.
For your health.
Not at the quality of a Nintendo product? Didn’t stop them releasing Animal Crossing Amiibo Festival!
Nor is it stopping them from making that horrible Federation Force or releasing Mario Tennis: Ultra Barebone Trash.
Bhahahahahah
I think ways knew he was sick for sometime and didn’t like that he didn’t try to make something more meaningful than video games and he had this half baked idea in his head of something positive and health related to leave behind. But didn’t quite have enough time.

Find by me. Really did not want my 3DS watching me when I sleep. That’s how Terminators are born.
“Good morning, bobgoblin! Over the course of your 7 hour and 14 minute sleep, you turned over 4 times, an average of 1.77 times per hour. You also dreamt about Darth Vader eating a cherry pie whilst balancing on a unicycle on a tightrope while singing “Sk8ter Boi” about 2 hours and 53 minutes in. Today I recommend you play Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon- you have not played that since November 3rd, 2013.”
