The Pokémon Super Bowl commercial received a positive response from viewers yesterday, generating 41,000 social interactions with 88 percent of them being positive. This is based on data from iSpot.tv, a social and advertising analytics company.
The Pokémon Company invested $5,000,000 on the commercial, and it seems to have made a great impression across social media websites and on YouTube, as the clip has attracted just short of 18 million views on YouTube since January 25th. You can check it out below:

It was a pretty good ad, but I was talking to friends and had to explain Pokken Tournament to them as a more “hardcore” fighter than just a Pokemon game and wished they would have shown or focused more on that
This is what YouTube is for. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jBBl0L3jjJg
That’s the point, you have a billion viewers, don’t make them go to youtube to see some of your best stuff when you can show them righ there. The intrigue was there, but could have shown more
To the other 12%, I say this: The 27th is this month. We’ll probably get a Direct around then with an anniversary segment in it. Any announcements will probably happen then.
That’s what I thought too. I don’t see how they wouldn’t make any announcements in that day… Even if it’s just thought that Pokemon variety show in Japan. But yeah, That’s the day the Red/Blue New 3DS comes out as well, I believe.
I saw them talk about this ad on the Today show too. It kinda surprised me that it made an impact with that audience too, cuz most of that audience probably just knows Pokemon from hearing about it over the years, and don’t play the games and such. It was a good ad for the general audience watching yesterday :3
I don’t know man. To me, that commercial didn’t look so hot…
like i said before,Not a fan of pokemon never have been and never will be.
