February 27th will be Pokemon Day for GameStop. All day, the retailer will be holding discounts on Pokemon games, merchandise and Amiibo. There will also be special offers, bonuses and more, according to GameStop’s promotional flyers.
Of course, there is a catch. It will only last for that day.

Idk about all that, I called a location about 30 minutes away from me and they’re giving them away all day tomorrow during the last day. I was looking on eBay for the mythic new sets and was shocked to see the very download cards we’re talking about for sale !!!! One Mew card selling for $7.00…. That’s just pathetic. If I had extras, I’d do what I used to do and give the codes out. I still have cards for the recent shiny Gengar, Diancie and Dragonite. But those are mine :)

Only a select few items are actually on sale, but you can buy a pack of cards and get a poster for free.
Toys R Us, meanwhile, is giving out free promo trading cards, activity book AND poster of all the G1 Pokémon. I think I know where I’ll be going on Pokémon Day.

Just saying, I would expect GAMEStop to have sales for GAMES on a day like that… (granted the TGC is technically a card game).
The flyer for GameStop Canada wasn’t exactly inspiring. I don’t recall any of the games actually being on sale, and they have the worst selection of Amiibo anywhere that actually sells them. Not likely to even check there on the 27th, though I might drop into TRU.
