SEGA Survey Available To Help Them Make “Better Games”

SEGA has issued a survey for everyone to fill in to give them feedback to enable them to make the games that you want to see. Every company has room for improvement and SEGA is no different. So if you’re a SEGA fan and want your voice to be heard then be sure to fill in the survey, right here.

    -||So their best idea to improve themselves is by asking their cattle how to do that||-

    -||This is embarrasing||-

    1. Nintendo Sub-Commander Cereza

      They need to ask Nintendo executive directors instead of fans. Gameplay always comes first and foremost. Once a fun concept has been established, you build a living, breathing world around it. Also, going really fast shouldnt be the focus because lots of games have characters moving at the speed of sound. I can name at least twelve.

        -||They need to take small steps like we did with Mario and evolve slowly but surely||-

            -||In my opinion, Sonic stopped being true Sonic once they started with Chao Garden and human cities||-

            1. That doesn’t mean the series wasn’t decent or likeable. SEGA made their first huge mistake when they decided to gear Sonic Heroes towards casual players, forgetting the spirit of the Adventure series, the end of the Dreamcast (while making Sonic more available to Nintendo owners) didn’t help the franchise maintain its spirit. There’s no crime in evolving the series. Sonic Adventure 1 & 2 are like Raichu:

              -Underrated
              -Misunderstood
              -Barely given a chance to live up to its fullest potential.
              -Overshadowed by its overhyped younger incarnation (Classic Sonic/Pikachu).

              Adventure = Evolution

              We have good games with Modern Mario (SM64, SMS, SMG, SMG2), why not do the same with Modern Sonic.

                -||True but the difference is that the main Mario games have always been true to its origins while Sonic tries to implement different genres in one game||-

                -||Why not make a spinoff game with the Chao instead of putting them into the main games?||-

                -||Just like their only true decent spinoff game, Sonic Racing Transformed Allstars||-

                -||I also think that the homing attacks ruined the fluid gameplay too||-

                1. If the Homing Attack wasn’t in the game, attacking enemies would be painfully hard to do. It’s there so you can attack and keep moving. I think the Adventure Style has potential. It just needs to drop the stupid gameplay styles, like fishing and treasure hunting.

    1. Exactly this. A sonic game with a story could work as the next game, but the gameplay should definitely come first. Make sure that the gameplay is amazing, then add a little bit of story.

  2. Get back into the console game and release the NAOMI 3 as a home console on par with the next gen. Lets get Capcom VS SNK 3 as a launch title while you’re at it. ^^

  3. Boom! Series has taken an interesting aging step of Sonic, I simply want to move on instead of sticking to the past, with new adventures. I simply want to enjoy the future of SEGA when I say: Sonic Boom Adventure.

  4. Step 1, localize more games (Fucking Puyo Puyo Tennis for example)

    Step 2, don’t rush the development of your games like Sonic Boom

    Step 3, give Sonic some better quality titles

    Step 4, Make sure whatever movies/TV shows you have planned in the future are handled perfectly

    Step 5, stop the 3DS “remakes” and give us some real Virtual Console titles

  5. It seems to be heavily oriented towards mobile… if they want my opinion on if they want to make games “of higher quality” instead of “more accessible and addicting” to the casual crowds, they would focus on making console games.

  6. I don’t think asking fans what they want is such a bad idea. I actually wish Nintendo would do it sometimes, tbh. Sega needs to

    1. Capitalize on existing IPs other than Sonic (and by that I mean develop new games, not re/release ports of old games),
    2. Stop wasting time in the mobile space (a few mobile games are fine, but this is not where the efforts of one of the most recognized titans in gaming should be focused), and
    3. Place a higher emphasis on a quality gaming experience (i.e. live up to their heritage instead of just trying to make an easy buck off of mediocre Sonic titles).

    And that’s really all there is to it.

  7. If only Nintendo would start asking us what we want out of Metroid BEFORE they ruin it’s reputation any further than what they did with Other M. Sadly, Federation Force possibly still being a thing just shows they aren’t listening.

  8. Folks are acting like companies don’t use surveys like this all the time.
    I get it. As a SEGA fangirl, I’m deeply pained to see what they’ve come to today. But this kind of survey is par for the course in just about any industry.
