This probably won’t come as surprise to many, but Nintendo president Tatsumi Kimishima has revealed that there are more unannounced first party and third party games coming to the Nintendo 3DS. Kimishima neglected to mention the Wii U so it could be that the next first party titles we get from the development studio are Paper Mario and The Legend of Zelda.
Furthermore, there are many other unannounced titles, both first-party and third-party, that are proceeding with development.
As in Japan, there are many more titles planned for future release, and other unannounced titles that are currently in development.

A new Metroid, F-Zero, Wario, Golden Sun or the like would be nice. Just anything unreleated to Mario and Zelda, please. I’ll even take a non-2D platformer DK game. The 3DS’ install base won’t grow much more, it’s time to throw a couple of more unknown games in there instead of the same old bets.
To be honest, I’ve been playing a lot of GBA lately, and it really shows the lack of variety in current Nintendo’s titles, comparatively speaking.
I never thought I’d say this, but I agree. I’d actually prefer not to have another Zelda game right now. For some strange reason we were pelted with Zelda spinoffs this gen, but were never given a main series game (Link Between Worlds excluded I guess). I want a break from Zelda for once, and as always, I can do without another Mario platformer.

I’m having a bit of a Zelda burnout too. We’ve had at least one entry each year, counting remakes, during this whole gen. Three Zelda games on Wii U alone, not counting Zelda U. That’s unprecedented (if you don’t count Link’s Crossbow Training). I’d gladly see some other franchise get some love.
I’d still consider Tri Force Heroes a main series game despite it’s different structure, but there’s no denying that it still felt like fodder to feed us from the Zelda drought
I’m not burned out on Zelda since I skipped anything this gen that wasn’t Wind Waker HD, Link Between Worlds, & Majora’s Mask 3D. If I had gotten TPHD & Princess Link, aka Triforce Heroes, I’d be right there with y’all on the Zelda burnout crew. lol

Can we get some lesser-known franchises on 3DS? Its install base is high enough that I’m sure enough curious people will buy them and spur more titles in the future. Where’s a new Custom Robo? The last one on the original DS was pretty good.
