Whilst this could be absolutely nothing at all, Nintendo NY on Twitter has revealed that they’re closing the second floor until 1pm on May 5th due to a private event. This could be for all manner of things but as always speculation is focussing on the Nintendo NX. If any information leaks then we shall be sure to let you know what this private event actually is.

they might say something about the nx or at least mention when they will give us a snippet of the console, that or its them doing some changes.
I think it’ll be:
1. Talks about what they will be doing for E3, such as bringing Demo Units of the new Zelda game to the NY Store and possibly have demo reels of the other games they’ll announce at E3.
2. Talk more about when the NX will be announced (my bet is on September 27th, 2016) and how they might LIVE stream it to the NY Store.
3. Talk about updates to the store, possibly new stuff for the 30th Zelda Anniversary like Merch and stuff.
4. Just a business meeting
They wouldn’t have posted it on Twitter if it wasn’t too important.
I think this could be it, or maybe just them planning on what they’ll do for E3 like having demo units up in the NYC Nintendo store.
It is because someone is getting married tomorrow. Please don’t hype yourself up for this.

He’s not hyping himself Tre. He said he ” thinks ” this could be it and he may have a point. It is ok to speculate in this case because like he said why would Nintendo take the time to post this news on Twitter? If it’s nothing important then why say anything at all? Nintendo could be hosting a private event for the press & gaming media only so they can get a glimpse at what the NX will be. I’m not at all saying nor confirming that this will indeed be the case but it does seem weird that they decided to make this announcement on Twitter if it’s truly nothing
They sent the tweet out just to notify customers that are coming to the Nintendo Store tomorrow. It is nothing at all.
i guess that this might be a huge event when it comes to nintendo products.

Still doesn’t explain why they posted this on Twitter.
They would have added sign posting in store if the top floor has been rented out, they wouldn’t just say it on Twitter.
It is just to let customers know ahead of time. It is no big deal. They also conduct tours at the store so letting people know ahead of time prevents most issue.
