In case you weren’t aware there was a Spatfest which took place this weekend and the theme was fancy dress or cosplay. Sadly it was Team Costume that missed out this time as Team Fancy took the lead. The end results for the global Splatfest was Fancy 358, Costume 342 (52-48, 51-49) Well done to all those who participated!

Ahhh … How did I forget about this? I LOVE Splatfests, but somehow I totally missed this. I thought this was Going to be NEXT weekend.
All I did was a whole lot of Nothing yesterday too. Dagnabbit.

Why can I never be on the winning team!?
The winning team doesn’t get any in-game rewards that are exclusive to Splatfest, do they?
No- if you participate and rank up, you get Super Sea Snails. The winning team just gets more of them. I’ve always ended with King ranking (King > Champion > Defender > Fiend > Fanboy) and Kings on the losing team get 18 snails, Kings on the winning team get 24. So everyone gets prizes either way.
For me, it really comes down to “I did my best; my teams and I wiped the floor with every enemy team, why did we still lose?”
And I’m almost ALWAYS picking the losing team. Cats, Science, Autobots, Marshmallows, Spongebob… now Costume. That messes with you when your W/L ratio is more losses than wins.

Costume was the most popular, which means the underdog team will win overall, the formula is too easy, if you want the most sea slug shells then pick the team you know will be least popular

Fancy was the most popular and had more wins. They beat costume in both categories.
Also, being on the less popular team is nothing but a disadvantage. However, winning matches is far more important, as it should be.
