Lynn And The Spirits Of Inao Has Been Canceled

Lynn and the Spirits of Inao is no longer in the works. After being in development for about five years, Bloomylight Studio has ultimately decided to cancel the project. The game consisted of a 2D adventure in which players can explore a magical world inspired by Japanese myths, and help a character named Lynn restore balance between the world of the living and the spirits. It was planned for a release on multiple platforms, including Wii U.

“We would like to thank all the people who contributed to the game and got involved in the project,” Bloomylight said in a statement. “These last five years spent working hard on Lynn and the Spirits of Inao were an unforgettable experience motivated by the passion to create a game of quality and to offer a new experience.”

  1. Easily Offendable Lady

    There’s more to the story:

    (I hope links work)

Basically it was a Kickstarter game being illegally developed by unpaid interns (Illegal in France), and it just so happens that the game was cancelled days after this fact surfaced. Sketchy stuff.

BTW – 99% of Kickstarters do come through, so don’t think any differently of them. It’s simply that it takes time to develop what ever’s being funded most of the time. Stuff like this, though, is pretty bad and I would advise avoiding this studio in the future.

  2. From the stories I’ve been seeing about them on Facebook this past week, I’m legitimately glad they decided to cancel. The way they were running the project was just outright disgraceful.

      1. It may depend on the job or what they’re doing. Like making interns do your work while not paying them seems like it’d be illegal.
