There’s a new champion in the Evo Super Smash Bros championship and it’s a unsponsored gamer from Canada. Yes, it was Elliot “Ally” Carroza-oyarce who took the crown at this year’s tournament beating the likes of Takuto “kamemushi” Ono and Gonzalo “ZeRo” Barrios to become the champion. Here’s the final results for Super Smash Bros for Wii U at Evo 2016.
- Elliot “Ally” Carroza-oyarce
- Takuto “kamemushi” Ono
- Gonzalo “ZeRo” Barrios
- James “VoiD” Makekau-tyson
- Hayashi “Ranai” Ryuto
- (T-5) Yuta “Abadango” Kawamura
- “Larry Lurr”
- (T-7) Samuel “Dabuz” Buzby
Thanks, Rosencats

Whoa, good for ally. I know he was rising in the ranks but didn’t expect this.
The fact that Mega Man did pretty good at EVO this year, that proves that Americans are lazy and thinks that picking up Cloud is a guarantee win. Get good!
That Mega man was fantastic! I just really had hoped he reset the bracket so there would be more battles…
But anyway, congrats to Ally! An inspiration Mario mains!
The day I lived to see Mario winning Smash tournaments! This is the current reason to keep me playing competitively.
BTW, the top three has no americans whatsoever, a canadian, a japanese and a chillean player are on the top of Smash 4 scene.
Smashcon is ZeRo’s, if he knew the Mega Man matchup i think he would have won
Congrats
About damn time a Canadian has won a Smash tournament…
Or more specifically, EVO.
canadians are very entertaining people congrats ally
did he win anything?
