Ubisoft Very Impressed With Pokemon GO Success And Working On Own AR Game

Ubisoft’s co-founder and CEO Yves Guillemot has revealed to investors that he is very impressed with Pokemon GO which has been a massive success since it launched two weeks ago. Guillemot says “We are very impressed by what Nintendo has been able to achieve.” Interestingly, he announced that they’re working on their own AR game, though he stresses it isn’t similar to Pokemon GO.

  1. UBI PRIME DIRECTIVE: REPLACE NINTENDO

  2. Assassin’s Creed Slay! Hunt down Templars and Pieces of Eden in real time, altered reality fun! Nothing is true, everything is permitted!

    1. Exact idea I had lol. I came here to comment that as a guess at what their AR game might be and boom. It sounds like a joke but also like something they might actually attempt to do since they could aim this at the gamers who consider themselves to old/mature/core to play Pokemon GO…

  3. I don’t think they get it. It’s not successful because it’s AR.
    It’s successful because it’s Pokemon.
A game where you can actually go out and catch Pokemon is something of everyone’s dream.
    That’s why it’s successful.
