A user on Twitter recently tweeted out a video showing how you can make the Playstation VR’s cinematic mode work on the Wii U. The Playstation VR is set up in such a way that it can be plugged into any HDMI device, allowing you to get a cinematic view in your headset. There is no head-tracking, but there is a personal viewing screen and the ability to play Wii U games privately. We’ve included the tweet and its video down below.

Wait does that mean you can play the game using the headset thingy?
It probably just means that instead of plugging the Wii U in your TV, You plug it in the VR. Nothing spectacular.
Just like hooking another system up to your Xbox One.

Metroid prime VR already exists with oculus/vive on dolphin emulator. and uses tracking so you move your head to look around

I’m really glad you mentioned that because I honestly wasn’t thinking about the possibility of it being fake. I was just caught up in the “hype” of wow that’s neat but we don’t really need it.

Making it evern more obvious that the PS”VR” is nothing but a screen attached to a motion sensor, how that is VR still eludes me.
Please tell me of a better mainstream option.
It will still be presented in 2d, and not be tied to the headset at all. all you will get is motion sickness.
I can’t wear the helmet thingy for more than 15 minutes. I can’t even do 3D glasses.
It’s a truly amazing device, we didn’t know it could work for the Wii U.
