Shigeru Miyamoto Has Turned 64 Years Old Today

One of Nintendo’s most infamous faces is celebrating his 64th birthday today, and it’s none other than Shigeru Miyamoto. Miyamoto is most known for having created Nintendo’s biggest franchises, such as Mario. Next year will be Miyamoto’s 40th anniversary at Nintendo, as he joined the company in 1977. Other franchises that Miyamoto was involved with creating include Donkey Kong, The Legend of Zelda, Star Fox, F-Zero, Pikmin, and even the Wii series.

  1. Shout out to the father of 80’s gaming…Shigeru Miyamoto.

Have a HAPPY BIRTHDAY & ENJOY YOUR DAY SIR!! Thx for the following:
    *Mario & Luigi
    *Link & Zelda
    *Donkey & Diddy Kong
    *Star Fox
*Wii motion controls/ Wii Sports Resort & Wii Sports
    *Pikmin 1.2 & 3.

    1. Unless I’m mistaken, someone at Rare conceived Diddy Kong as an upgraded version of Donkey Kong Jr, who we all know now as the current Donkey Kong as Cranky Kong was the ORIGINAL Donkey Kong.

  2. What’s the “Wii series”. If this means the consoles, then this statement is pretty damn ridiculous, as Miyamoto has worked on almost every Nintendo console there is!

        1. Oh come on, you have to agree Wii Sports has merit, and Wii Party U can be fun- hell, that was my free download for the Mario Kart 8 promo on Club Nintendo.

Wii Music though… Everyone likes to pretend that never happened lol

      1. As bad as NSMB and the Super Mario 3D franchises are, I wouldn’t call him infamous. Just look at Super Mario Maker; it got people who didn’t even like Nintendo or Mario playing Nintendo and Mario…

        1. I know. But this isn’t the 90s anymore. Not everyone is going to praise Miyamoto in a famous way, anymore, and some very well will call him infamous.

  3. Nintendo First Order Commander Quadraxis

    ||I delivered 64 Xbot heads earlier today as my unquestionable loyalty to his supremeness creativeness…||

  4. This dude is behind practically all my favorite video game franchises! This guy is one of the most influential devs of all time!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY MIYAMOTO!!

  5. Happy birthday, Miyamoto. Thank you for Zelda, Mario, Donkey Kong, & Star Fox. Now go back to the awesomeness that was you in the 80s, 90s, & 75% of the 2000s. We want that version of you back. Not this version that creates Star Fox Zero with a gameplay style many did not want & hate even though they enjoyed the game as a whole or gives ideas like removing the best parts of the Paper Mario franchise.

There you go, the anon that is my personal stalker. I didn’t disappoint you too badly since I did call Miyamoto out for some of his bad calls. You’re welcome, bitch!

  6. Happy belated 64th birthday Miyamoto! Even though you’ve made some very bad mistakes with some games (looking at you Paper Mario Sticker Star and Color Splash), you’re still a legend among gaming, creating the franchise that saved video games during the video game crash of the ’80s, and many more memorable characters and franchises as well. So thank you Miyamoto, for everything you’ve done for the world of video games!

  7. Woah, infamous? To be infamous is to be known for doing bad or disrespectful things. I’m pretty sure Miyamoto is known for his more positive and well received works.
