SEGA has a couple of Sonic games releasing this year and a SXSW panel coming in two weeks, but the official Sonic Twitter took time out of those preparations to congratulate Nintendo on the launch of the Nintendo Switch. They even made a .gif image just for the occasion. This won’t be the last time we’ll be hearing from SEGA about the console, as both Sonic Mania and Project Sonic 2017 are planned to release on the Nintendo Switch. We’ve included the tweet down below, so feel free to check it out.

Yeah I heard of that weeks ago. It’s next Thursday. I can’t wait for it. Maybe now SEGA won’t make any mistakes.
It’s been three months… What the hell did I miss.
That’s good, just make Sonic Mania and Project Sonic 2017 quality games.
I should think they would be happy, since they will be making money from releasing Sonic on the Switch…
This is good and all but I hope the new Sonic mania games are on the PS4 as well.
