Video: GameXplain Explores World’s Edge In Zelda: Breath Of The Wild

GameXplain have spent well over 100 hours with Zelda: Breath Of The Wild and in their latest video they try and breach the edges of the games’ world. As most of you are undoubtedly finding out, the game boasts a tremendously sized play area but check out the video beneath to see the GameXplain team try and go beyond the games’ boundaries:

  1. Been playing for a couple of hours… and it’s great!!! BUT I will admit I’m missing some of the old mechanics from the older 3d zelda games like Ocarina and Majora’s Mask. For one… A compelling story, clear objectives, and the music…. WTF happened with the music in Breath of the Wild? Come on Nintendo!!!

    1. It really is about play styles. I Get completely sidetracked will looking for supplies, cooking, finding Shrines… It feels like Assassin’s Creed, Monster Hunter and Zelda all mixed into one!

      I understand what your saying. For those that don’t have a blast exploring and experimenting, I bet it can be more tiresome.

      I found myself in the mountains, and I knew damn well I probably wasn’t “ready” but I figured out two shrines that were dependent on each other. It was very satisfying to have figured out what to do on my own.

      And since I downloaded it… I haven’t had any problems whatsoever… I probably have had frame drops… but I can’t tell. it’s running really, really smooth for me. Boy am I glad.

  2. For the desert and ocean it’s a shame that unbeatable monsters dont appear to attack you. That’d be better than the invisible walls.

    1. King Kalas X3 {Greatness Awaits at Sony PlayStation 4! Hopefully it will also await us at Nintendo Switch if Nintendo doesn't FUCK things up again!}

      Or they could have taken a cue from Witcher 3 where a notice pops up telling you why Geralt can’t go any further & the game teleports you back to places you can wander before you ever even reach an invisible wall.

  3. Am I the only one slightly disipointed the world’s end in such a huge open game is as anticlimactic as an invisible wall and text saying “You can’t go any further”? LOL

  4. Sasha and I finished our 4 mile hike. I’ll probably cook up something to eat, Get a couple more hearts for my wolf in Twilight then get back into BotW!

    I really want to take a vacation day from work tomorrow but I can’t because I’ve got a project that absolutely needs my attention. :(

    So an invisible wall stops Link? :/ Aonuma gave some of us such hope that the thing to stop us from reaching the world’s edge would be something awesome & only gave us a lame ass invisible wall. As one said, unbeatable monsters would have been nice to stop the player from going further. Or as I suggested, take a cue from Witcher 3 & explain why Link can’t go further & teleport you back to the game’s world before you ever even reach an invisible wall. And if they were gonna use an invisible wall, at least done something unique like maybe Calamity Ganon’s Malice is sealing Hyrule within a very tight barrier so no one can actually escape when he goes to wipe out Hyrule. Anything, damn it! Anything is better than a lame ass boring invisible wall! D:<
