Sonic Mania is coming to the Nintendo Switch later this year, and SEGA has recently provided new information on the game. In the meantime, a new interview with Aaron Webber, head of Sonic’s PR team, was done with Nintendo World Report. There wasn’t a whole lot new information. It was mentioned that the game will release simultaneously with all platforms, and the game’s price will also be the same with all platforms. Webber also brought up that the final version game will hopefully work with the Switch’s Pro Controller, but he emphasized that this isn’t a confirmation. We’ve included the video down below, so if you want to check it out, feel free to do so.

Definitely getting this game. So glad Sega went back to the drawing board with Sonic……It was much needed
The funny part is, SEGA did not go back to the drawing board.
It’s not even being made by sega, but by an indie studio of sorts.
A bunch of fans.
I’ve always said the fans at times know better than the IP holder.
I’ll get this game on my PS4, but I’m so glad this is coming to Nintendo Switch as well.
I love how he says that the game will be the same price on all platforms *looks at rime*
I met Aaron Webber 3 years ago. He is so nice! He let me take a picture with him while he was in line to get food!
Technically, Mania is not 16 bit, and they even said that the game is supposed to look like a 2D sonic game as if it was made FOR the saturn hardware which we never got, we got ports but nothing new.
Basically meaning, too many colors to be 16 bit.
Still low resolution… I imagine, and wish for those gamers that like it, a low entry point price.
Sometime in the future eventually they will do a reboot (same gameplay, just updated graphics).
Can’t wait to play as Knuckles in a real sonic platformer again :D
Hopefully, Rad Red will be playable in Project 2017 as well.
