Europe: Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+ Switch Content And New Release Date

We have been quiet for way too long. Players gave us hell for it. And we deserved the beating – it’s just that we didn’t want to communicate again until everything is 100% confirmed. So let’s make up for it in style:

Behind the curtains we have been working hard and we can finally reveal the news: The EU edition of The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+ on Nintendo Switch will include extra content almost identical to the Launch Edition of the game in the US. So, do you love us again now? Friends again?

With this said we can also finally(!) fix the release date. Without futher ado, the new shipping date is scheduled for 7th of September of 2017. There you have it.

In the EU box you won’t only get the game but two wonderful Isaac sticker sheets as well as a retro-style manual so many of you EU players have been asking for!

And the partnership with Nicalis is growing. The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+ for PlayStation®4  and Cave Story+ for Nintendo Switch are amongst the next things we will tackle. But please, do not ask us for details yet – did we mention that good things come to those who wait? ;-)

About The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+

When Isaac’s mother starts hearing the voice of God demanding a sacrifice be made to prove her faith, Isaac escapes into the basement facing droves of deranged enemies, lost brothers and sisters, his fears, and eventually his mother.

The Binding of Isaac is a randomly generated action-shooter with heavy RPG and Rogue-like elements. Following Isaac on his journey, players will find bizarre treasures that change Isaac’s form, giving him superhuman abilities and enabling him to fight off droves of mysterious creatures, discover secrets, and fight his way to safety.

  1. I already own two copies of this game and I’m still picking up this physical version. Mostly because of the manual to be honest.

I really wish Nintendo would start doing old NES-style manuals for their own Switch games.
