From its launch on July 13 to July 16, Hey! Pikmin has managed to sell approximately 65,000 copies in Japan. This means that the new Nintendo 3DS game has sold through 45 percent of its initial shipment, according to Dengeki. For comparison’s sake, the first Pikmin and Pikmin 3 sold more than 100,000 copies in their first weeks of availability, while Pikmin 2 debuted at a little over 150,000 units. Hey! Pikmin is set to arrive in North America on July 28.

Yeah, it does seem that the Nintendo 3DS market isn’t anymore healthy. Eventually people’s attention has moved to the Switch. The game looks good enough.
I don’t think it’s the 3ds as much as the game. Pikmin was never meant to be a side scrolling platformer. The game doesn’t carry a lot of interest.
Don’t know, seems of decent quality and it was awaited by japanese people as per survey.
Sorry, but Miitopia is my next 3DS game; I had a blast with the demo.
