On March 11 2001, the Great East Japan Earthquake and the ensuing tsunami sadly devastated the Tohoku region of Japan. Many are still affected by the tragedy and the ‘Pokemon With You’ initiative works to cheer up children in amongst locations that were hit by the disaster.
A Pokemon-themed train cropped up in 2012 but now there are two train cars; both of which are now dedicated to the lovable and iconic Pikachu. Customers who use the train can also pick up stamps at certain train stops to help them fill out their ‘memory note’. Take a look at the gallery of images I’ve included below:

Ladies and gentlemen, Rev up your Chu-Chu jokes.
OH MY GOODNESS, SO CUUUUUUUUUUUUUUTE! I WANNA RIDE THE PIKACHU TRAIN NOW!
There is a typo,
“On March 11 2001” it should be March 11 2011 not 2001 :P.
Oooo~!
How nice! :)
Japan gets all the cool stuff
I bet those ticket prices are insanely high, even for it to be a child-cheering service.
