Another day and it seems we get another new title for the Nintendo Switch which is extremely encouraging. This time around QUbyte Interactive have confirmed that the stylish 16bit themed beat-em-up 99Vidas is coming to Nintendo’s latest platform. Check out the trailer below for some frantic action. 99Vidas is a beat ’em up set in a contemporary world that pays tribute to both the new and the classic in gaming industry. Brought to you in all pixelated, 16 bit-esque glory, chockfull of references to not only gaming, but all 80’s and 90’s pop culture. 6 stages (with more to come) will take you on a journey to different parts of the world to face hordes of fierce enemies and relentless bosses, but you don’t have to it alone – You can face this challenge with up to 4-players in co-op play, both local and online.

It means “99 Lives”
It’s from a podcast about games that is called “99 vidas” as well.
It’s the name of a Brazilian podcast, as the characters are members of it. The show talks about nostalgia and games, and 99 Vidas means 99 Lives, you know, the lives counter in the old games.
Lol. It is a brazlian game from a podcast crew about old games (and some new), there are a lot of jokes from this podcast on the game that people will not understand.. XD
