Nintendo Has Applied To Trademark The Nintendo Switch Online Logo

It has come to light that Nintendo has applied to trademark the Nintendo Switch Online logo for the purpose of ‘program for home video game machine and others, Providing connection etc. and Providing images using communication etc.’. Nintendo also applied for ‘Switch’ without the Nintendo prefix.

Although this probably won’t translate into too much at a consumer level, it’s interesting to see Nintendo reinforcing their product and brand nonetheless.

  1. Ridley X3 {Greatness Awaits at Sony PlayStation 4. Awaiting Greatness on Nintendo Switch; just need cloud storage, add external HDD support, & make that stupid Nintendo Switch Online App on smartphones optional.}

    “Nintendo also applied for ‘Switch’ without the Nintendo prefix.” *facepalms*

    1. I mean, they kinda have to.
      Otherwise there will be a 1000 different but similar looking “Switch” consoles on the market before long…
      I don’t think they can go against things that were called “Switch” before this anyway.
