One game that many of you are looking forward to dipping into and getting immersed with this winter is Xenoblade Chronicles 2 for the Nintendo Switch. The huge JRPG has just been rated by the Australian Classification Board and has been slapped with an M rating for mature. Monolith Soft’s latest title is due to be released this winter/fall on the Nintendo Switch and is bound to be an engrossing adventure.
Thanks to theSt0rmtroop3rguy for the tip!
M for mammaries
How does that compare to an M rating in the US? This makes me sad as I most likely won’t be getting it now. I don’t like to play anything worse than a T rated game. They have too much freedom do to whatever they like that’s inappropriate.
To tell the truth, the rated M given to Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is for those who live in Australia. No worries… it’s still a rated T game in North America.
That would be great! If it is T, it is a day one purchase for me!
To give you an idea, looking at my DVD shelf here in Aus (the same ratings board does games, movies and TV) the following are rated M here:
Avatar
Jurassic Park
Moon
A collection of five Bette Davis movies
King Kong (Peter Jackson)
2012
I think the American M ratings is closer to our MA15+, which covers most episodes of Game of Thrones and South Park.
Why would you not get this game just because of its rating? Are you a little kid?
Adults are allowed to have values. For me, I value cleanliness and would rather enjoy a game fully than have it be marred by swearing or sexuality and violence. Everyone feels differently, but I prefer to not subject myself to it.
No, some of us have decency and a family
If they want to be prudes, that’s their problem as long as they aren’t trying to shove their prude ways on others.
If something like that is so important for you, you could look up for what reasons the game got the rating I guess?
Btw. in Australia the previous Xenoblade titles both also got rated M, so if they were ok for you I wouldn’t worry too much, (at least yet).
Didn’t Zelda also got an M rating in Australia?
I wonder why it’d get an M-rating. Too much skin?
Apparently mainly because of mature themes and violance.

Interestingly, this also suggests some kind of online activity, did we even hear anything about that yet?
