The Nintendo Selects line has gotten a new addition, and it’s one that you may not be expecting. It has been discovered that Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed stealthily joined the Nintendo Selects line. The game was released on the Wii U back in 2012. However, what makes this rather unusual is that Nintendo usually announces new Nintendo Selects titles. It’s also rare for a third-party game to be added to Nintendo Selects, especially in North America. Nevertheless, proof of the new Nintendo Selects title was posted on NeoGAF, courtesy of a picture. We’ve included it down below.
North America: Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed Has Joined The Nintendo Selects Line

Hate me if you must: but this game is the best cart/item based racer for the last gen consoles.
This game was on sale for $5 on Steam and I bought it since I had heard positive things, and I wholeheartedly agree with you. Definetly one of the best cart racing games I’ve played in a long time and I’m really hoping they make another entry in the series!
Yeah, the Steam-version is awesome. Wii U is kind of cooler when you have a lot of friends over (happens all the time…), but Steam-version a has wonderful online and 60 FPS 1080p (or moooaaar).
Totally true. I spent a ton of time in the singleplayer and my friends and I always have a blast getting together and all playing splitscreen multiplayer (I’ve got a wireless 360 controller adapter for my PC and we’ve all got multiple controllers). The graphics and online are also SUPERB just like you said. During another sale I ended up springing for the Ryo Hazuki and Metal Sonic+Outrun Bay DLCs. They made the game even more fun than it already was XD
I remember one particular LAN where we had one PC-for each player. I remember I lost almost every match lol. It is still a fund memory; such a great game.
Fun to think about that Sega threw in Ryo just to try to maintain the Shenmue IP. Didn’t work though.
I also thought the game was absolutely amazing. I really wish they would make another one. Sumo did a great job, and now that they finished Sake Pass, they should get back with SEGA to make something new. I don’t think we’ll see anything new from Mario Kart for a while, so now’s the best time. So much more they could do with other franchises. I want to see Vectorman show up in the game. He can transform, so he should be a no brainer as a character/vehicle.
Good that I’m not the only one. Vectorman should be an easy fit yeah :P
The Wii U is still a thing?
It’s more of a thing than the Vita. I can’t tell you the last time I even saw Vita GAMES in a store.
They’re both still dead though.
Wow that’s surprising.
}{ $20? I just got this for $5 on Steam during the summer sale… Once again the peasants must pay… }{
How do you think Lord Miyamoto keeps his youthful energy, Your Evilness? :p
